Either (1) your fellow consumers who all want what you want or (2) the manufacturers for not being able to keep up with demand. The only time scalping is unethical? When it’s happening with life-sustaining resources or generally-accepted necessities (like toilet paper, sanitizer/cleaning supplies, and food. Game consoles? This is simply entrepreneurial spirit driving people willing to do the legwork so you can enjoy a luxury. It’s not unethical and should not be illegal. You want an XSX or PS-5 NOW? Work the supply chain/re-stock or open up your wallet and pay someone to do that for you. Your choice.

um, 06 Feb 2021hitman 3 begs to differ.There's an exception for every rule. That exception actually stutters in places where the PS5 doesn't (that flower field), but I understand that after the showing XSX is doing since launch you really need that win. Congrats, you found one game that works better most of the time, bravo! /s

Nope, I am not seeing that extra performance. In fact, oddly enough, everyone doing objective measurements is seeing the exact opposite: the PS5 has more stable framerate than the XSX while still retaining the same visual fidelity. That's still happening with the latest games, not just the early ones with the claimed "sub-par" devkit.

MS has a better run now, games run consistently on higher resolution with same performance modes. Then you got VRR which sony has no excuse of not having it. Also load times clearly were a shot in the dark when xsx has same or faster results with inferior ssd.
What MS is trying to do and lot dont understand is to build an ecosystem which after thinking for a long time i decided to be a part of. Gamepass alone is worth it imo. And the extra performance that you can see on cross plattform games on various channels is a relax factor for the brain

As of someone who wanted to buy a ps5 since i knew it would come out....can clearly see as bright as day that there is a performance gap. Less screen tearing to none, higher resolution in same modes on overall.

If it weren't for VRR/FreeSync on the XSX, I would have been seriously questioning my purchase.
GamePass is a very impressive service, the "Netflix of games". However, PS+ also offers very impressive games, Control Ultimate this month. Once again, I paid for the superior "Netflix of games" but actually end-up envying PS5 owners.
Sony is getting the fundamentals right. Microsoft may have a lot of good will going for them, but all their promisses begin to fall apart. "We are customer friendly," so let's double the price of Xbox Live, only to then face massive backlash, retract it, and look like fools who don't really know what they are doing. "We have the most powerful console," yet framerates always dip where the PS5 stays solid and at the same visual fidelity. "GamePass," yet games come and go from the service at any time (e.g., no more FF XV) and Microsoft keeps forgetting "Games with Gold." Sony offers much better games "forever" (i.e., while you keep the subscription) via PS+.
PS5 is delivering everything I wanted from my XSX, but at 100Eur cheaper thanks to their Digital Edition. And no, the XSS is no contender to the PS5 DE. I really dunno WTF Microsoft is doing other than flaunting massive amounts of cash in hopes that will solve the issue.

but i can say that more power is more power and with both consoles being pretty much the same platform now, games should be able to use the extra horses as it gets older, ps5 launch has been a bit crap with buggy ports and dlc sold as full games, dual sense is about the only good thing to come from the console. MS is just offering a better overal package tho at the moment with gamepass. TBH tho both platforms have nothing to offer yet as an upgraded experience

How very communist of you. The supply cannot meet the demand and that's that. Where were those scalpers in previous console releases? I assure you they were there, but they were soon driven out by greater supply.
I hate fans that get an easy pass to the big corporations for completely failing to anticipate demand and are angry to the little guy (the scalpers).
That's how all communist revolutions worked. Those with real ambition and power turned the proletariat against each other and they became the cleptocrats in charge out of the chaos.
Don't be obtuse this is 100% on the chip makers completely failing to anticipate the extra needs for chip by EVs and mining. I mean the writing is in the wall for ages now, i.e. blockchaing and smart cars are the future (that is now becoming present), yet they continued producing silicone as if it was business as usual.
