If the former heavily beat the latter, then I don't think this kind of idea will come into fruition. There's a reason why the Meizu and the Vivo still remains a concept at the moment.

I know this phone will probably never see the light of day to average consumers but still, I applaud them for trying to figure something new.

This concept will actually be realistic once we'll figure out how to "blend" display with the body of the device.
Either glass has to evolve tremendously in strength and resilience so we could mold an entire frame of the device out of it, or better yet, discover and/or make materials that are naturally very durable and can be used as a display all in one layer.
Then you can "wrap" the entire device with "display" not just the front and edges. Add UD cameras on both sides of the device and you have a seamless view. No more cases needed and no need to buy a whole new device just because you want to have a new colour.
To offset the lack of sales in cases and new colour variants, manufacturers could develop paid highly customised live and static "skins"/wallpapers. I bet consumers would spend more money by frequently changing these "skins" than they are changing their cases now.

Without any hole mean:
1.under display camera,no hole on screen
2.all/full screen display with less bezzle(all curved screen hide bezzle)
3.unibody frame and back
4.no charge port,no button,using under display speaker.
from the mi mix,the meizu zero and vivo apex2019/2020,lots of concept phone are trying to achieve it
