"There is no variable refresh rate (VRR) support, which means the display cannot adjust its refresh rate based on the console frame rate even if the display supports VRR, which can cause screen tearing if the game uses an unlocked frame rate. Like 8K, Sony has said the feature will arrive sometime in the future without committing to a date.

The PlayStation 5 also does not support ALLM or auto low latency mode. "

Quite bad stuff, when the main purpose of the product is gaming.

    Especially for people who live in renting apartments. If you need to change apartment is easier to carry 1 laptop/tablet + a console with you, than a full tower gaming PC + 27" monitor. Usually nowadays, majority of landlords provide TV's in their renting apartments (some even really nice ones). So, no need to purchase a TV.
    Best practical scenario will be a gaming laptop. But those are very expensive and not worth the money, unless you are rich or you make money with it somehow.

            Anonymous, 08 Feb 2021i'd better buy a gaming pc or a gaming setup for aroun... moreI have rtx2080super 150w laptop which has roughly the same performance of a rtx2070super pc, I can't do 4k gaming on it at 60fps and over. 1440p is at over 60fps to 100fps and is only possible easily. At 4k everything to max settings the frame rates vary between 30fps to 48fps. Over 60fps is normally great.

And yet, here you are claiming all over the place. You were probably one of those people who claimed that these consoles would have 2080TI performance xD.

                The fact of the matter is that you can't make a more powerful GPU in an SoC package than a discrete GPU.

                You people have to be realistic. And new games aren't going to magically make it perform like a 2080TI. It's possible that certain AMD sponsored games would perform like a 2060, but that's about it.

                    Hi,

                    I am using the Samsung the Frame(2019) TV with my PS5.

                    My TV supports 1080P/1440P 120 FPS but i am unable to see and unlock the same for my PS5. Video Output settings show only upto 60fps1080P.

                    Anyone have any suggestions to make my TV perform 1080P 120fps??

The Switch's controllers (unless attached to the console) have some latency issues (Joy-Cons use 3.0 while the Pro controllers use 4.1).

                            This is why I'm begging the Switch Pro to come with a minimum 5.0 to fix those latency issues (I know...wired is better. Just saying. Lol).

                              greenarcher02, 08 Feb 2021I see Sony is keeping the tradition of having notoriously b... moreat least neither sony past controllers does not have systematic design faults on their dual shock 3 for ps3 or dual shock 4 for ps4 which causes the r and l buttons for their joycon to stop working or infamous joycon analog stick drift , durabilty is key aspect of sony controllers, also ps4 dual shock 4 v2 also last up to 12 hours.

                                I see Sony is keeping the tradition of having notoriously bad battery life for its controllers. For some reason other reviewers didn't mention it and it's what I'm most curious about. The DS4 couldn't even keep up with the Switch's Joy-Con and Pro Controller, I would have hoped they learned from that. Guess not.

                                    I've played both consoles on my friends and I have to say that despite the obvious goodness of Xbox Gamepass, it does feel like a glorified small PC to me. PS5 on the other hands once you fell the uniqueness of the new controller then there is no going back for you. The new controller capability was really that good and gave a next gen feeling for me. You can bet Sony will push this even futher on their first party games and combined with the number of new first party games coming up the PS5 is the obvious choice for me.
