Looking at the features and the performance of the PlayStation 5, and how it compares to its extremely successful predecessor

we can pretty much guarantee that Playstation 5 will sell 100 million units and have a lot of exclusive games as well, be supported for at least 10 years like ps3, ps2 and ps1.

what would be interesting would there be a big midlife refreshed models, smaller playstation 5 slim? or playstation 5 pro, which will probably be released around 2024/25.

      I have so many to play and enjoy most of them. I even started playing Kid Chameleon from the Genesis Collection.

      I'm a sucker for 2D platformers especially beautiful ones like Oddmar and Shantae. It's from my Super Mario Bros. roots. I think 2D platformers, racing, and puzzle games works best for mobile for me. While 3D platformers can get annoying due to bad camera angles. Never got into FPS games.

      Oddmar has the potential to be a top 10 favorite for me. It's got such great presentation and polish. I'm basically trying to get a bigger iPhone just to play it on a bigger screen instead of my little old SE. Most fun 2D platformer I've played since Sonic 2.

      Shantae is also quite fun. Just stuck somewhere where I can't find what I need to find. Stubborn to use a guide. Tried getting into Dead Cells. Too fast for me. Getting too old for fast and difficult games. Just want it easy and relaxing.

        Vita is my favorite PlayStation of all-time because it's a legacy machine. I can play PS1 and PS2 on the go. Hard to beat that. With Nintendo Switch, you're only renting old games. You don't really own them. The lack of wireless Bluetooth headphone support is the big downer. And neither Switch whether phat or Lite is all that comfortable to hold.

Had a disastrous launch in its early months with Microsoft store auto-deleting 60-80gb worth of data. Or in some cases, appear to remove the game but keep backups of it so the game data piles up as users keep reinstalling.

            Now the game mostly had 1-2 star from early reviews despite having a Steam version now and MS store seemingly ok with it now.

It is asinine to believe that next-gen console games (not cross-gen or backcompat games), that only have to run on that hardware configuration, won't be designed from the ground-up to take advantage of the extra hardware -- be it core count or anything else.

              Right now you are playing games from the past, meant to be played in 7 year old machines with the most uncompetitive hardware AMD ever made. You have to be pretty dim to not realize how AMD's newly found competitiveness will reshape the newer games, increasing the hardware requirements also for the future PC games. Best of luck building a PS5 level gaming rig at USD$399/EUR399.

This isn't rocket science. Don't let yourself get tricked into thinking 4K60 is a visual statement in itself.

That 8 core doesn't do alot for gaming. Naturally, you won't see a difference on a console because you don't do other workloads where it matters.

Furthermore, this generation's GPUs are far more powerful than a 1060. The XSX is closer to a RTX 2070 in everything but RT and the ability to do DLSS.
