Honestly, the best phone I ever used was the Blackberry Priv and am longing for a new generation of that phone... Sighⁿ...

The 2021 Blackberry will be a hardware ofshoot of now well estabilished software security company. The phone is coming from a lot different environment now compared to past devices.
I hope they will start an entirely new product line instead of continuing with the Key series. They are closed chapter.

Hope the new BlackBerry will be as good as the Key2. And hope the tech support will be as good as TCI.

I don't get the appeal.
Physical buttons always require a more positive interaction than an on-screen keyboard making for a very disjointed user experience. That's in addition to the navigation being through display taps and swipes while writing is via another, separate, medium.
Seems like a massive backwards step.

I have used and enjoyed each and every flagship BB model since 1997, but had no choice but to move on to Samsung for obvious reasons. I hope whoever designs these models reads this. The screen needs to be super amoled and at least 6 inches, if not more. The physical keyboard should be the passport type with the iconic trackball incorporated. Quad camera at least with OIS video feature and the latest Android software with options to keep upgrading the software.

There's only one way to do this as far as I'm concerned. Keep my Blackberry Passport silver edition as my mobile communication device (IMHO still the best phone/email/texting device available) and fill the app gap with an iPad. Because who over the age of 20 really needs their apps when they're mobile?
