A camera with OIS is what convinced me to upgrade from my Moto G5 to a G7 Plus.
The G5 was a replacement for a Nexus 4, which was a real disappointment. I was a Moto G convert, and the G7 was a further upgrade.
I too expected better G series phones as time went on, and like many on here, can't understand why Lenovo seem to have changed tack.

Most of you do not understand motorola's target market here. These phones absolutely hit the nail on the head for me and my family. They are budget phones with great battery life, that work on CDMA networks. The only other brand that is meeting that criteria is LG. And LG has a pretty poor UI. The low resolution display is done on purpose, not only to lower the price point, but to further improve the battery life. Increases battery life from the start means less charging cycles and therefore a longer overall lifespan of the battery. Since the battery is usually the first thing to go on a smartphone, this is a great move by moto. The one major downfall to Motorola that we should all be complaining about is the total lack of software updates post release. I swear, most of you that write and comment on these articles have never gone more than a year using a moto G. Quit complaining about "issues" and "lackluster displays" that are literally the reasons that the target market is buying the phone.

My last 4 phones have all been Motos and good ones at that..on the other hand the Moto g8 power lite I have now is by far the worse phone I have had with countless problems. Everything from volume problems on WhatsApp and messenger video calls, to problems with the camera where the screen is black and the phone needs to be restarted to make it function. Don't put the phone in your pocket as the volume turns off at the slightest touch and I have missed many calls because of that. It's the last Moto I shall ever purchase.

Just so your people know I'm very brutal on phones yeah I'm rough on phone I have not found it phone that's more durable more dependable and not a better price LG error report the selling refurbished phones they suck Galaxy did week overpriced Apple's biggest rip-off I got an iPhone 7 in front of me LG Stylo 6 and I got a Motorola G Stylo and I much rather have any day of the week Motorola much better phone or around price-wise dependability speed link to the battery much better phone if you buying anything other than Motorola today you don't know what you buy I put them off to my own chess I'm waiting for the people to do it on YouTube I do my own I'm so far in the last 2 years Motorola as always come out on top I'm waiting to get this numero when I get this new Motorola imagine how much they wanted fresh $700 when it came out you know what made you get it so cheap did not do it do you know weight and not into it Dubai hip and I want to buy a phone I can get them for $170 I get a G7 power I already have debt than the iPhone 7 I save myself about 600 bucks

First of all I would like to say I am very brutal Google Google makes it get real with the phones with me for I mean literally I'm known for smashing phones and I have not found a phone better made than Motorola that can withstand the beatings I put out LG they're selling refurbished phones and they're ripoff Apple data biggest rip-off the 1 iPhone 12 buy one get one free the only problem images six months later the 12 or no good we're going to go to phones $600 you got to pay $1,200 to Big Ripper Samsung ain't even in the window by far is the best from all around phone most dependable most durable gets to go first I would never buy anything but Motorola just one

The biggest weakness of G30 is the chipset. The Snapdragon 662 is absolute trash and if you take a look at the Poco M3 you'll see what I'm talking about. The Asian Realme 7i has the same screen but it lags like hell and makes the 90HZ thing seem like a gimmick.
Ironically, the G80/85 are better but for some reason (probably cost cutting) they don't support screens over 60HZ.
So, it just makes you wonder, what's Motorola doing?
Why not go with a Helio G90T and price it between 220-250 euros?

I am a great fan of Moto G and Stock Android. Stock Android is class act. Only ppls with good taste know that. i did not say anything about the author though. 😀

These things are only good on american markets or if you MUST have he best reception. Word is they have some of the best connectivity in the segment.
