The thing is these technologies didn't come within a day or a year.
It takes years of research.
Who knows who started first !
Beside the adaptive refresh rate idea is nothing new. Ever heard of AMD FreeSync, Nvidia G-Sync ?

"The technology was originally developed by Apple"
There're so many things wrong with this line.
You could say Apple initially introduced the LTPO panel. When you say originally developed by Apple then it feels Samsung is paying apple for the technology.
This is also not the first time. Most of the articles where LTPO is mentioned same line is pasted, don't know why.
Apple and Samsung both were working with LTPO display. Apple just introduced half finished product with their watch(don't know why). Couple of years past introduction, Apple LTPO panel still not at the level of being used for smartphone display. Picture quality's still not great as I've heard.
Samsung just finished their research at the level where they could actually use it in Smartphone.

The point is that Samsung did not create this idea, but they're taking all the credit instead of those who actually developed it.
SMH, your understanding is seriously disappointing for someone in 2021.

Oneplus 7 Pro & 8 Pro both had excellent displays (except the small number of bad batches).
9 Pro will probably have a great one as well.

prfraczek, 18 Feb 2021we don't care about LTPO but we want flat screen BACKChinese OEMs will keep pushing the curved screen because it allows them to claim higher screen to front ratio.
Let's suppose a phone has 6,7" flat screen that takes 89% of the front.
Same screen but curved could be 91%.
Check S6 and S6 Edge. Both same size.
Edge has higher %.
