apple users compare a 4S to mid-range androids with just a 1GHz processor, and dare to brag that android is crap? whoa, did you even read the specs of the phones you compare it with? probably not. cause apple users are so dumb that they DO NOT even know how to read a simple manual.
did you ever notice that that's the reason behind apple devices having just one button infront?
cause they created devices before like the old iPod that had the navigational control, and apparently the users didn't even know how to use.
that's pretty much the same as not being able to read what the buttons are for.
apple users are so dumb that their brain can only comprehend using one button alone. ^___________^
anyway, now that that's settled, let's check out your so-called "bragging rights" about lag issues.
first off, comparing an iPhone 4S to a mid-range phone is just not right. why? because iPhone 4S is a "flagship", although I wouldn't call it a flagship, since Apple "researchers" are only able to think of "developing" one phone, yes just one phone, nothing more. if you were to compare your puny iPhone 4S to another phone, then at least let it be a flagship, say, Xperia S, HTC One X, SGS 2, or other phones of similar specs, and you'll be surprised that your pathetic mind is not as dumb as a fruit that someone already bit. specs and functionality (enhancement apps aside), iPhone's display is no match for a mobile bravia engine, especially for watching videos. Now, check out the camera, Xperia's macro shot or SGS's focus is vastly superior to iPhone's lens and imagery.
Note: Before you reply thinking that I do not know anything, think again
I used a 4S, SGS 2, Xperia Arc S and tried an Xperia S, and although I'm not good at math (I'm a Computer Engineer, ho-hum), I can safely say that there are other phones that have superior computing and processing power over your highly overrated, overpriced, overestimated iPhone 4S. Period. (To apple users, that dot (.) after the "d" in Period is what you call a period, in case you do not know, and probably don't.

While Android has the larger share, numerous... moreWhile your comment is true, also note that despite the money in iOS, Android also draws a lot of apps 500,000 last i checked... compared to 600,000 for iOS. This is due to market share. The share is too big to ignore... Apple would do well to release a cheaper phone. If they don't eventually they'll end up being Mercedes against Toyota.

Looking at the graph, Blackberry is definatelly gettish crushed by other(wp+bada) and android, like in a vice :D
iOs is also getting squeezed in the vice, but still hanging on. Probably gonna fight bakc a little with the arrival of iphone 5 , but after a few months it's back to the squeezing and posibly crushing.
Other(wp+bada) might expand a bit, but probably it's gonna take shares from blackberry and iSO instead of android.

While Android has the larger share, numerous reports indicate that iOS while slightly smaller, is way more lucrative. Developers develop where they stand to make the most money, and that is currently iOS.
This can be seen in most software releases, it is almost always iOS first, and Android second, if any.
