Just put the mark POCO on K40 Pro and we can see Poco F2 for markets outside China. Put XIAOMI sticker on K40 and we see Mi 11 Lite for markets outside Asia. May be they will replace SD 870 with some SD 77x line to cut cost even more.

K40 series is shaping up to be the poor man's gaming phone. Xiaomi/Redmi completely forgot what made k20pro such a hit and delivered something that has the fastest chipset with HRR display. Literally everything else in this device is a compromise. And if they didn't manage to fix the mi11's temperatures here, guess what, this will be the flop of the year!

I won't complain regarding the 4500 mAh battery if they keep the weight down. The POCO X3 and other previous phones are bulky af.

That's like asking why car's gas tank is only 15 gallons. 4.5k battery could last two days if done right or it could not last even a whole day if done wrong.

JayrBars, 26 Feb 2021Sorry, i meant ff front facing cam. I think poco f2 pro no... moreOk, I see, same, I could perfectly live without it, my dream phone would in fact have no front facing camera and use powerful ToF and structured light sensors on the back for enhancing pictures, but also, by turning the hand around to have those facing the user, simply do 3D face recognition for unlock, and when a front camera is needed, a simple foldable mirror included in the case would allow the Wide to lets the user use both camera + display at the same time.
But sadly so much haters are against this idea of no front camera despite it being a somewhat popular demand.

In the French Amazon, it isn't available under 480€ for the 128GB variant, and since it isn't available anymore on AliExpress, I guess this is because there aren't much left available, maybe in your country it didn't had so much success and there are quite a few left, keeping the price low.

Yeah, when they want, they can put OIS for cheap, in fact it has a 5x Periscope Telephoto and GSM Arena list it at 270€, so clearly I am not asking for too much when I say a 3x Telephoto and preferably a 5x Periscope Telephoto.
In fact it is one of the cheapest smartphones with the Snapdragon 765G :
            https://www.gsmarena.com/results.php3?sChipset=43&nOrder=1

The only other with this SoC having a price listed and being cheaper are :
Oppo Find X2 Lite (basically the same price, 269,90€).
            Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite 5G at 263,99€
            Realme X50m 5G at 260€
            Redmi K30i 5G at 250€
            Oppo K7 5G at 240€
            Vivo IQOO Z1x at 220€

Considering that with the same chipset we also have the OnePlus Nord listed at 374,67€, so over 100€ more expensive, the Vivo X50 5G listed at 440€, the Nubia Red Magic 5G Lite at 600€, and the LG Velvet at 700€...
With the two last not even having OIS despite their price, nor any Telephoto, let alone a Periscope one, and the Red Magic having 2Mp Macro + Depth horror combo...

And indeed I do find it at 267€ on a Chinese website thanks to Kimovil, which also confirm that it is way closer to the cheapest SD 765G phone than to the average.

Anonymous, 25 Feb 2021Isnt Resdi being treated as Semi autonomous company, apart ... moreDude if they added OIS to the main camera, a 3x optical zoom, 5000mah, this phone will be better than the Mi 11 (which is their flagship series) and cheaper. Even if Redmi is a semi autonomous company, they are still under Xiaomi (see the rebranding of Poco/Redmi phones, their same software). Also they need profit lol (which is alr much lesser compared to the competition)

This it - the phone that I've been waiting for - a mi10t pro but with an amoled display. Though there are some noticable downgrades, such as the smaller batter capacity, and and slightly inferior camera (probably because it lacks OIS), but considering the pros that you will have and the price - I think it is a steal!.

I think poco f2 pro now is at 370-380 usd equivalent in my country. Sometimes cheaper when in sale.
Mi 10 youth with ois, i think i bought one last year for 250usd. Great value for cam, but it has less stellar battery life.

I prefer smaller bezel (to make more symetrical) but quite good display than AAA+ display but not having thin bezel. I saw the lower bezel of K40 series is not quite slim -_-

Screen and chipset great but camera setup is not up to my expectation. Only k40pro+ acceptable with HM2 sensor and 888, but secondary cameras still inferior. This year only S21 ultra is worthy android flagship. Waiting for mi 11 ultra with GN2 sensor.

Nice looking phone with a nice looking specs and a nice looking price. One gripe though: what's with XiaoMi's naming convention lately? If this continue, I might as well looking up for next XiaoMi RedMi K60 Pro+ Max Air Ultra XL in the next few years then. /s

K40 with the 870 chipset at that price is practically a steal.
