Dissapointed at least the pro variant does't contains telephoto lens. K20 was so better it had a telephoto back then

K40Pro equal to K40 with Sd888 chip and IMX686 main camera
K40Pro+ equal to a 12+256GB version of K40Pro with different main camera(HM2 sensor)
The K40 is the best to buy,since Sd888 performance is not much better than Sd865/870.

to be fair, the specs arent really that impressive, and especially that 9 to 1 binning sensor? how about they put 4 in 1 instead, because the 12mp photos arent that enough compared to the 27mp sensor in their previous phones that used the same (but older generation) sensors.

Anonymous, 25 Feb 2021biometry was not downgrade. faster and better placed now. Not only it's a doungrade but disfunctional one. I guess you never used side mounted finger print scanner which even at it best is hit and miss thanks to small futprint area. I never liked the flashing lights around under display one on K30 Pro but let's call that aesthetic related opinion.

Was loving the phone and thinking about going for it until I saw 'side mounted fingerprint scanner' damn.. that's very bad, on screen fingerprint would have been.
This phone is cool in all aspects for me, except for the fingerprint.

Seams the K40 and K40 Pro actually are the big downgrades compared to K30 Pro 8/128. Even if display is hi refresh rate with new ones. From finger print sensor (under display - side mounted) to cut out over pop up camera to no 3.5 mm jack and smaller battery. SoC is arguably the same thing so considering old one is now cheaper they won't sell much of those.

Retail price of k40 is $310.
Components of iphone 12 are worth $350, also $550 for s20 ultra.
Still you see people here demanding non-chinese brands to charge same price chinese phones are sold.
