I'd rather a high quality 120hz LCD than some low quality oled that they will use. Wouldn't surprise me if they're only 720p too. Also 5G for the whole series too, again much more of an upgrade than oled

Gimme 3 OS updates or GTFOH.

my last Redmi phone, RN4 just received exactly 1 OS update and that to it was launched with older OS instead of Android 7 and I got frustrated and switched to Samsung recently.

the tech nerd, 02 Mar 2021They teased 120hz earlier because they were going to have 1... moreLMAO you are out of your mind

You honestly believe a Twitter poll a few days ago changed their minds on hardware choices

Do you not understand how much quality control , production line planing, certificates/registrations software optimization and calibration that a company has to go through months in ADVANCE...

This was the plan all along, Twitter polls are also horrible data sources as these represent enthusiast and the vocal minority maybe 5% of buyers overall

MOST people that buy phones don't even know what AMOLED even means it's literally a tech jargon

React 2 Gadgets YT, 02 Mar 2021Again. Redmi K40 has E4 OLED HDR10+ 1300 NITS 120HZ FHD+, S... moreYup i was totally wrong actually,i am truly shocked that they are able to include 120hz amoled in a note series (even if it is a pro max or something) this fact sounds totally absurd to me that they are able to do it somehow in budget range, i assumed you were indian since you quoted indian pricing for k40 series also mi 10i series will be worthless now

the tech nerd, 02 Mar 2021would'nt be surprised if phone costs more than the chi... moreNope. Indian prices and in my country, Indonesia. The price is very close to chinese prices, maybe max only 5% price difference because of tax. Mi 11 in my country costs IDR 9.999.000, around $645, which is not an huge difference compared to chinese price at CNY 4000 ($600)

the tech nerd, 02 Mar 2021They teased 120hz earlier because they were going to have 1... moreBesides, the certifcation process happened at February. which means the phones was produced already at Januarys or Decembers. So, they have no more time to redesign everything. Since Xiaomi is not as dumb as Realme by putting 90hz LCD on Realme 7, While the pro gets 60hz OLED. We all know OLED is way more expensive.

the tech nerd, 02 Mar 2021They teased 120hz earlier because they were going to have 1... moreAgain. Redmi K40 has E4 OLED HDR10+ 1300 NITS 120HZ FHD+, SD 870, IP53, 48 MP, Glass Metal Build, Stereo speakers, NFC. For just $310, roughly around INR 22,999.
Which means Redmi Note 10 Pro, which is around $200 - $250. Has : NFC, IP52, 108 MP, Glass Plastic build, SD 750G,Stereo speaker, 3.5mm jack, MicroSD, 120hz OLED.

There's no way it is gonna be an LCD, and they confirmed Redmi Note 10 series will have it. So it is 120hz LCD. The price difference with K40 is only $60. So 120hz OLED makes sense. E4 120hz FHD+ 1300 nits OLED costs around $70. While cheap AMOLEDs eith E1 technology, at 120hz, FHD+ should costs significantly more cheaper, since E1 was used on Note 8,very long ago.

React 2 Gadgets YT, 02 Mar 2021K40 costs around 21, 999 INR if converted from chinese pric... morewould'nt be surprised if phone costs more than the chinese prices due to increase in gst for phones right now (also maybe they don't consider manfacturing it in india) let's just wait and watch

React 2 Gadgets YT, 02 Mar 2021Xiaomi teased 120hz. Then they teased AMOLED. The vanilla g... moreThey teased 120hz earlier because they were going to have 120hz lcd's earlier in their phones but after that they had a twitter poll in which more than 90% people said they would prefer 60hz amoled over 120hz lcd any day so i guess they changed their mind after that,it will be hilarious if i am wrong because if the pro max does have 120hz amoled then mi 10i will be useless

AnonD-920712, 02 Mar 2021better a phone use LCD but has decent chipsetSD 678 is on par with SD 712. Which is powerful enough with antutu 8 around 230.000, way above SD 662 that has antutu of 180k.

While 750G has antutu of 330k, on par with 765G. Which is decent for its price. Remember, this is all below $250

AnonD-986504, 02 Mar 2021I hope these phones are under or around 15000 INR otherwise... moreK40 costs around 21, 999 INR if converted from chinese prices. So it makes sense for 10 Pro to have 120HZ OLED since the price difference isn't that huge. Perhaps OLED have gotten so cheap that Xiaomi can even afford it at their base Redmi Note 10. Pro model will get 108 MP, IP52, Glass build, 750G, 5G, and 120hz OLED

better a phone use LCD but has decent chipset

the tech nerd, 02 Mar 2021XD in this budget segment you probably won't get 120hz... moreXiaomi teased 120hz. Then they teased AMOLED. The vanilla gets 60hz AMOLED. Then what's for the 120hz? Definitely the Pro model. Since the price gap between Redmi Note 10 Pro and Redmi K40 aren't that huge (only $100). And if For that little money, you get Flagship chip, 5G, glass metal build, and E4 1300 NITS HDR10+ AMOLED 120HZ, then K40 will be better obviously. So i predicted that it will be 120hz OLED for the Pro. I think the K40 will stary at $400, but it is at $300. And the price gap isn't huge. So 120hz FHD+E2 AMOLED 600 nits without HDR support is definitely. The OLED panel will be different, but 120hz and FHD+ will stay.

React 2 Gadgets YT, 02 Mar 2021Just as i thought, 120hz AMOLED on an budget. But if the pr... moreXD in this budget segment you probably won't get 120hz amoled, you will be getting 60hz amoled probably,k40 price is good for 120hz amoled phone to be honest but this will be a budget phone (but then again i don't honestly like the fact that k40 has the same camera sensor old k20 has but then again they had to save money somewhere i guess)

I hope these phones are under or around 15000 INR otherwise there is no point in purchasing them since Mi 10i is super close to that price range.
