seems like samsung never listen to their buyers, from s20 until s21, those heats problem still remain, so bigger iso means to generate more heats, right?

If the pixel can gather more light that means make a bigger very powerful pixel not smaller ones that negate half of the gain

DjAlonDevil, 05 Mar 2021We need big sensors with bigger pixels, not more pixels... ... moreWe need log pixels or at least bring the dual response pixels to market.

We need big sensors with bigger pixels, not more pixels... I'm hoping that 1" sensors are going to be the standard in phones in the next few years.

and if I remember correctly, we do have a Samsung fan too, in the staff, can't recall the name. Maybe its more of a problem with DxoMark.

This is exactly why I love Samsung, they truly innovate.

                  From an iPhone user BTW.

                    'Drastically'.. It is actually 'significantly'.

until we get some hard data when we are getting this and how it's going to actually make photos better, all of this is pointless promotional stuff and Samsung blowing it's own horn

Maybe they need to come clean on their clash of interests. Or their various consultancy agreements.

Developments in image sensors is far from reaching its peak. It's great that Samsung is leaving the way along with Sony in the next generation of sensors.

Samsung needs to fix the CFA. Hint: Pattern needs fo get rid of the moiré and aliasing artefacts, along with light loss and detail loss.

samsung is good at marketing and names for their techs, they still can't get into top 5 dxomark no matter how fancy their tech is called.

I do professional photography and with the camera as old as D3s, the 12mp resolution is enough for most things even printed for a wedding ceremony

So desperate to steal costumers from Sony that I bet they announce one with 1000MP before 2025. Do not doubt. Looks like a 300MP is on the way.

I remember to see in 2020 the Ice Universe posting IMX555 (S20) was better than HM1.
                                      LOL ....
