Anything can come out of a proper test. I do not believe 4 cores can be compared to 2 in anything. Unless you use old apps or if you r in the US.

Alui, 17 Sep 2012"What matters is iphone costs almost double than sgs3 ... moreYou know, we compare performance as of today, so we need to compare prices as of today. If you bought SGS3 for 595€, then it had to be the price, when it was released and it was still cheaper, with no competition around, other than other droids.
You see, iPhone 4S costs more than SGS3.
If you bought SGS3 for 595€ and say cheapest price, than you do not know, where to look^^

gagan, 17 Sep 2012i really dont believe that apple is using a15 cores in this... morethere not there saying a overclocked version of this apple processor could beat a krait cpu ( that isn't overclocked)

It's interesting to see, how it perform against dual core Krait with Adreno 320

madman, 17 Sep 2012Why all the Android hate? If this benchmark is anything to ... moreProblems with Nokia Lumia 920:
-practically no content;
-risk of OS version incompatibility(see WM6.5 vs WP 7 vs WP 8), so risk of losing all apps upon upgrating to a later phone;
-heavy/bulky(for a smartphone);
-stupid color scheme.

iCedie, 17 Sep 2012There are a lot of bitter&sour here.. Guys just accept ... moreLol?
Did you read the article? A6 did not beat the Exynos Quad. And just that people understand, more cores do not mean more speed, just more multitasking capabilities.
Take Computer CPUs: A Intel i5-3550k is actually faster than a AMD FX-8150.
The AMD has 8 cores and the Intel only 4.
What counts are the Cores itself. A lot of cores are good for a good power consumption, a thing Apple has to do a lot of work now.
A quadcore with slower and more energysaving performance, can be good in a quadcore, because if you need 4, you get super performance, but if you need only one, for stand by for example, then it is better to have one slow and energy saving core, then a A15 beast like the Kraits.
Nobody says more cores are better, but seen from a energy consumption standpoint, better to have 20 cores with A9, then 10 cores with A15, even if the performance matches.

Anonymous, 17 Sep 2012I recenlty upgraded my S2 to S3 and I am quite happy about ... moreI just met someone this weekend that said they were going to buy the new iphone, so as usual I asked why. Same answer as always, no research just if everyone else is buying it, it must be the best. But when I show people what my phone can do and they say "that's cool, how can I do that?" I'm like sorry you can't with an iphone. This gets frustrating. Some people have valid reasons for choosing iphone (ecosystem resale etc.) and I value that choice but it's the mindless masses that choose a subpar phone and then complain about it, that I object to.

Wow you people know nothing at all. Benchmarks mean zip. I can take most any phone and have it pull over 9k in quadrant, now the phone would be useless but it will put up the numbers.now as far as apple goes, once again there late to the game, they are just now releasing things that us droid user's have enjoyed for a year on some things and since day one of the OS. Don't hate cuz once again you missed the bus.

I wonder why people keep on talking about cpu speed?
4/5 of people who buy phones or computer dont really know what is it exactly and how it affect the products.
Atm, it feels like kids battling about cars:
-You know, my dad new Jaguar at 100 mph is faster than your dad Porsche at 150 mph on straight line!
-No way, lol you moron get back to school. Our Porsche is faster in straight line and on circuit!
-You two are totally wrong my dad would beat your old dads with his Fiat doing 50 mph. He's a pro driver, it's Schumacher.
;)))
About Apple using old hardware gear its really nothing new.
We see it aswell with their pc or laptop. They take time before using the latest cpu or gpu. Using old stuff is just cheaper.

Using GHz to say "beats" has long been dead. With AMD and Intel, it's not how they label their chipset but which one gives you the best performance per dollar paid, same here. I want the most phone for the money and if the iphone is more expensive and slower, it's definitely out of the running.

they just playing a second ahead in terms of actual usage.. you still in a cage with limited phone functionality.. big screen seems to be good but i bet nothing changes except the screen if you have no knowledge in specs after using it.

Why all the Android hate? If this benchmark is anything to go by, then anyone looking for performance will obviously choose the SGSIII... Or at least till the Lumia 920 drops. Nokia is the undisputed master at squeezing all the power out of a CPU with the minimum of resources. So it'll be quite interesting to have this benchmark run with the 920 sporting WP8 (which is also said to be quite resource light)...

the phone is not even out yet and there are no detailed specs on the cpu yet, so how can anyone come to such a conclusion as if benchmark tests have been performed already.
that being the case, the source of this article can only be another marketing gimmick to drive up the sales to the gullible and naive audience. we see something like this all the time every time a new iphone comes out...
