MATE 30 PRO, 11 Mar 2021I bought a Mate 30 Pro because its performance is so great ... moreOh come on don't let me laugh, you even asked in the Mate 30 pro forum if someone knows how to install GMS and how to make sure it keeps working. Just admit it only works half way, not 100% and that you even admitted in several forums that without GMS it sucks and you needed it. Huawei needs GMS more than Google needs Huawei. Sadly because I am by no means a Google fan, I am a Google critic, but that's just how it is, no matter how good the phone is, and how good it looks.

Definitely looks way better than S21, an I bet it has a better camera. The only thing that makes this phone being the flagship of the year is the US ban. It's really sad.

I kind of appreciate what they are trying to do with the back, it kind of reminds me of the myth of the green men, seriously if you held this phone up in poor lighting conditions some one would be forgiven for thinking that they were about to be abducted, I just wish that they had centered the camera island.

Intriguing design, I quite like it.
I would not buy a Huawei product, because the company is financed and closely integrated with a totalitarian regime, but I like the design. Without the Google ecosystem, it's useless for most in the West.

You are right about those GMS used on certain apps, certification needed, etc...but in the end, it doesnt even matter if the app is working just fine.
For example Grab & Foodpanda, two app services that required GMS (Google Maps) in order to working properly, and do not work in non-GMS Huawei device before. Now those two are work flawlessly as its updated with integration using HMS (Petal Maps). Thats why I ask the guy about that 'specific' apps that do not work for him, as I held P40 on my hand now, can immediately check wether that 'specific' apps working or not. By doing that, my answers to him will be more accurate than your theory of conclusion.
You jump too fast into your own conclusion thinking its as what u thought it was.

I'm not sure how to feel about this camera array. In a way it's weird, but in other way, it's "different". Might look better in real life than on renders. At least that was the case with Xiaomi's Mi11...

Do you even know what GMS is? What about Play Protect Certification? Who's behind them? Are they the same as "Google apps"?
I have a streaming app that I use that wouldn't work without GMS—it even refused to work on a phone with GMS, simply because the bootloader was unlocked. So, according to you, that app was a "Google app?" 🤦🏼♂️
Like I said, comprehension could be tough. Next time, spend more time trying to understand a statement before rushing to respond as if you're smart.

Android Studio literally has a button to export the app in the code that translates to HMS to make life easy. There actually is no reason why Google and other devs can't simply do the same (sure, Google is banned in China but it's not banned globally...)
