MATE 30 PRO, 11 Mar 2021I will repeat what I have already said in several posts: ... moreGoogle will not loose in the Asian market. Unless USA decides to ban others too. Lol.
Xiaomi, Oppo, Realme, Vivo, etc. immediately filled the void left by Huawei. In China and in Europe too. And all of those are running GMS. Xiaomi even made fun of Huawei at some point, writing on their box that the phone comes with GMS (I don't remember the model/models).

MATE 30 PRO, 11 Mar 2021I will repeat what I have already said in several posts: ... moreWhy are you using the Mate 30 Pro if you like Google so much? Huawei phones are not going to have GMS. It doesn't seem like Biden is going to reverse the ban either because he agrees with the prior administration or his hands are completely tied. Huawei is doing the next best thing, releasing great hardware and growing its own ecosystem. The Huawei ecosystem will eventually become big enough to rival Google.

MATE 30 PRO, 11 Mar 2021I will repeat what I have already said in several posts: ... moreDoesn't Oppo and Xiaomi sell in China and both run Android?

I'm glad Hauwei is struggling. Next time don't do shady deals under umbrella companies.

If you want better pictures, you need more light, that means bigger lenses.
About time too, now that folk have decided that recording their tedious lives in pictures is what they get a smartPHONE for, it's time device makers made changes, so now we will have pocket cameras that happen to be able to all sorts of other things.
Me, I'll stick to a smartPHONE and carry a decent pocket camera, neither of them badly compromised trying to do too much..
Leca v40-lux =£100 ebay, no tiny little phone camera module can even get close natively, and what are you really looking at with pics from new phones, 20% native ability, 80% processing, what's reality.?

Looks like every other phone design out there today, so super boring. But they have "innovated" by taking the ugliest part of the phone (giant camera islands) and mading it even more ugly. Maybe from a marketing standpoint, staning out because it's the ugliest design, is better than just looking like everything else?

If the final product will have the same oversized camera lens I will laugh my ass off!

GregLu, 11 Mar 2021And yet, it's still "illegal" to use ...Lmao, why "Illegal"?? It's your phone and you're free to download any apk you want, if there's a case of an illegal app (let's say GPS spoofing in some countries), it's the app developers who are in trouble not the user.

I will repeat what I have already said in several posts:

I have a Mate 30 Pro and I know a bit about what I speak from the experience of not having Google startup services.

The best thing that can happen to Huawei is to dump all its "diplomatic weapons" with the new Biden Administration, which in theory should be more inclined to reach an agreement than with the previous Trump, and thus be able to re-certify its mobile devices with Google (on the one hand), and on the other, to be supplied again with electronic components to manufacture their Kirin chipsets (among others).

Everything that is not this, will be doomed, in the SHORT-MEDIUM term, to failure and the serious economic losses that they are having.
Huawei, in smartphones, has gone from being No. 1 to falling to 7th place, and in China they have already been surpassed by Oppo ... and all this in the SHORT TERM.

If they do not, Huawei will be "condemned" to be a stronghold, within its Harmony system, in the Chinese market, where it does have business. But in Europe and America, their presence will be testimonial.

                          And here they all lose:

1st Huawei, from what has been seen, and is seen.
And 2nd Google, because it stops having penetration in the Asian market and the potential millions and millions of customers there.

This can be the retractable zooming lens and par with dslr quality.

I already would have bought a huawei phone if it had still gms .The p40 series had everything i wanted from a phone, but sadly didnt had every gms app which is necessary for me daily.Hoped tha mabye Biden would change what Trump fucked up,but were still in the same situation.

Sticking a camera module this large and that looks like this in the same spot as every other phone and calling it a day is lazy, such a waste. Also, what's with the tiny flash? Why not xenon? I understand that those new sensors perform better in low light but even the best cameras out there use some sort of pro-grade flash system. There is no indication whatsoever that this is a pro camera phone other than two big circles in the same back design as every Huawei phone as of late.

So we are in a spot where the design is only the camera island in the back as it's the only thing you can actually design for a phones. Well tbh we cant even call these phones anymore as it seems this feature is the least thing in these things.

If there's an actual 1" sensor, then it really needs that big circle.

However I really hope some devs could find a way to get around Huawei's locked bootloader, such a great phones in hardware but just unusable software.
