opisg, 12 Mar 2021No it shouldn't, that's far too much and not needed!There are multiple reasons for it, but the major one will be their approach towards memory management. Unlike Android, iOS doesn’t rely on Java Virtual machine to execute its codes and the app codes are directly executed on the hardware thus limiting the need for RAM to run virtual machines on iOS.
Android is built for various devices with varying hardware specifications, hence, it needs more memory to execute the right code for the right device. Also, apps on Android are allowed to use as much of RAM that is required, so, they end up collecting more data on the RAM and when it is not used the data is cleaned.

opisg, 12 Mar 2021No it shouldn't, that's far too much and not needed!Finally, there are the “huge” apps, predominantly high-end games which can eat through RAM like a hungry Pac-Man. Games like Need for Speed: No Limits or PUBG Mobile can use between 800MB and 1152MB. Chrome is also in this category (with 3 tabs open).
The amount of RAM being used on your device depends entirely on which apps you have running. If you like Instagram and Candy Crush, but not much else, then you will be using just over 1GB of RAM. If you switch between PUBG and Asphalt 9 all day long, you’ll need 2GB, and so on

Everyone keeps on says its not the sensor its not the sensor. Its the image lrocessing ISP and software.
What software did they have in the old 35 mm film SLR cameras?

Google n Apple have the best cam app software r n d team in the world, but Samsung? Have you ever even taken any photos with a Samsung phone before? Over sharpening, distorted white balance, over saturated colors, and the front camera has built in horrible beauty cam processing that works even when you turn beauty cam off. Samsung has the absolute worst camera app among all popular brands.

They did not need to rely on auto hdr mode or auto night mode like pixel and iPhone to get usable enough images.
Did you even zoom into those pics on Pixel and iPhone, camera quality gets exposed when you zoom in. Mate 40/p40 pro series, Mi 10 ultra and others give great image quality.
