guru, 19 Sep 2012you're wrong. GS3 is godda"#¤ ugly and too larg... moreI think the iPhone looks quite bland too nowadays, while Nokia makes easily the best designed phones the last 2 years (my opinion, naturally).
That said, yes, Apple phones are far more better looking than any Android phone I've seen up to date. In my head I sort of categorize Androids, iPhones and at last Nokia WPs in the following way:
Android currently has the most raw power and features, but it lacks any form of "bling" or style to it. iOS is then again the king of "shallow features" like looks and apps, huge branding success and all that, but as a smartphone its lacking. Nokia is sort of in the middle ground, it doesnt have exactly the Apple kind of bling, but its far more stylish and better designed and built than most Androids. So it's far more capable than iOS, but still quite far off from all Android is capable off. In style/design/bling/whatever it sorta falls to the middle ground between Androids and iOS. Also it naturally sorta stands out as different, something neither iOS or Android cant currently do cos of the huge market shares, they are mainstream now.
That's just how I see things, not saying its some universal truth :D

There is also a disturbing aspect of the "class divide", where only the affluent can afford this high ticket toy. They don't know or care about the specs, cost or value for money. They just care that it's a new Apple something…
That’s why in America iphone 5 sells. Add to this that “The Cupertino company has filed another patent infringement lawsuit against Samsung, adding an additional 22 devices to the list of alleged offenders” What a way to win over sales. Ban the competition, Buy the Judge and Jury, have the gullible public believing you are god then claim glory. Hell even I could bet Usain Bolt in the 100m final if he had both legs and arms tied up and a noose around his neck.
I gotta say though That was some slick marketing strategy, or is it really a case of the dumb-ass average consumer blinded by the smoke and mirrors?? What goes around comes around..

I knew it will happen surely.
Other semiconductor company haven't such huge plant to manufacture the required demand on less time as Samsung can.

Don't want a big Android? Get a smaller one...

I gave my sgs2 to my friend (iPhone user) to use for a day/two... He called me after 4 hours complaining that battery is drained feared that he do something wrong. Then I discover that he didn't close apps properly. So he didn't use phone/os properly (like me when I start to press "back" on iPhone :) and discover that if it have back then it is "somewhere up"). After all my (personal) opinion is that iPhone is excellent phone to use while Apple put on you handcuffs and drain your wallet... peace

So iphone with 16gb costs 199..in parts thats about 170$
the next 16 gb cost 100,
and next 32 gb cost 100...50 for each 16gb ?
Isn't that weird ?
16 at a cost of 100 ? even the later ones at 50 are still a ripoff.

Apple has mastered the art of manipulation.
Hoard supply so customers will be more than willing to pay skyhigh premium just to get bragging rights for a product that doesn't offer much value for money.
Loyal Apple customers give more but take less in return.
Higher profit margin for Apple.
Greed is good.

then there's the fact that i want to switch to iOS. i get the best looking phone out there with the most supported (third-party apps) phone OS of them all. fair deal, i think.

People are blind these days, it's a worse phone you can get for that kind of money, people wake up from apple illusion world, they offering same phone every year for unrealistic price, example s3 is better in all aspects and a price is much better, don't like, go to htc, LG, Sony cheese people iPhone is rubbish

But I am not claiming that this new iPhone is a major step forward. iPhone 4 was not really a major step from the 3GS IMO. But I couldn't care less. Other than the relatively small screen, all iPhones I've had satisfied all that I need from a smartphone. I had a Samsung S3 and it was my first SS and other than the bigger screen, it's really NOTHING compared to iPhone (for which reason I sold it). To each his own. iPhones sell not because it's an iPhone. People aren't that stupid to spend so much money (considering the current status of the economy) just to have an iPhone - but because they are satisfied with it. If I were a major Apple fanboy I wouldn't have wasted $ 780 for the Samsung S3. You see, I gave SS a try but it's just not that great as SS fanboys make it to be. NO PHONE IS PERFECT, not even iPhone but if there is one close to perfection, I'd say iPhone is simply because of my satisfaction. Samsung fanboys are just so relentless in their tirade against Apple but at the end of the day, Apple sells and these fanboys don't get paid a dime for their bitterness. It must be soooooooooooo exhausting to keep that hatred. Pathetic.

I guess if your in the market for an i5 then you'll be slightly disappointed with the wait, great news for apple. If your not indoctrinated in to the iOS eco-system then it's a great time to be in the market for a new smartphone, given the wait for one of these you might as well shop around there are some great phones about to drop:
Note 2
Lumina 920 (should be soon)
Optimus G
The new HTC
Some nice new Motorola devices
The new Sony top end range
All these devices are the equal (barring the Motorola) if not greater than the i5 so shop around.

From an engineering and technical perspective, the iPhone doesn't do it for me whatsoever. It's old tech, and re-hashed software. It looks as you'd expect an iPhone to look, as why tamper with something that works?
From a marketing perspective, hats off to Apple. They knew months ago there would be shipping delays, as it gives the appearance of a more popular device.
I work in mobile trade & wholesale (UK) and instilling this kind of customer panic, really drives sales. So, Apple, cheers for securing my commission for the next few weeks!
