I really like it, looks different from all other phones on the market. I hope the finished product will look very similar. The only hard thing to digest it`s going to be the lack of Google Play support which in China is not a big deal, but in the rest of the world it`s a huge problem...:(

So the renders went from 2 large cameras to 5. The 5 makes more sense though. Just 2 cameras seems odd and out of character for Huawei. Although personally, I think all we need are 2 cameras. An ultrawide and a periscope telephoto lens.

Lets be clear, over 3 camera, it is gimmick!
A good device only need 3 camera :
Wide (normal), Ultra-Wide and Telephoto (Linear or Periscope), and would use either the Ultra-Wide or the Telephoto for Macro and can use Ultra-Wide/Telephoto with the Wide to make (fake) Portraits.
A great device would only need 2 camera :
Both Zoom (zoom does NOT mean Telephoto, it mean changing the magnification/focal length) from Wide to Ultra-Wide for one and Wide to Telephoto to the other, the Telephoto would then be able to push the focus far enough to do both real Portraits and Macro.
Here, without extending lens, it would be on a Compact level.
An ideal device would only have a single camera and a single big lens :
There are multiple ways to, from this, have a wide range from Ultra-Wide to Telephoto while also having Portrait and Macro too, from a powerful/deep Zoom, using a double periscope and either polarization or rotating prisms/mirrors to get both a great short and long focal length, using a single Periscope with a branching out and reversing capability, etc.
Note that here, it is about reaching a DSLR level and not a Compact level.
Macro and even Microscope can be integrated into the Ultra-Wide, or ideally into the Telephoto, and Portrait camera are nothing else than using a second camera that focus on the background to find which area should be blurred, which the Ultra-Wide can already do, and the Telephoto can naturally do a real (physical) Portrait shot without using any computer trick.
The only additional sensors that would make senses are those who are directly used by the computational photography and not available to the users, such as ToF, Monochrome, IR/RGB, etc.

Can we seriously stop with this crap "alleged renders/design' based out of thin air?
Either show a live photo of one in the wild or a schematic on which this is based.
I said it in the previous "leaked" render as well, which had those two huge black circles.
