26 March 2021
The power cell will be silicon-oxygen, while the chip is likely an ISP for the liquid lens.

At least they charge up if I was getting paid to watch a phone charging I use a hand cranking dynamo !
Not sure that they should be called phones these days they're still somewhere between banging the drums and beam me up Scotty I'll 6g dad after dinner :-)

Iove when people with no proper education and cognitive abilities start to discus about fast changing and battery life.
Sony Xperia XZ1 18W QC 3 fast charging, cell 2.7 Ah, recharge 61% in 30 min, cell capacity lose after three years 15~20%.
Mi Max 18W QC 3, 4.85 Ah cell, recharge 27% in 30 min, cell capacity lose after three years 60~70%. Difference optimisation curve, battery care (Qnovo).
Redmi Note 10 33W QC, 5 Ah cell, recharge 65% in 30 min, cell capacity lose to be determined.
In the end what did you get (XZ1 vs RN 10)? 4% more recharging of battery in 30 min period. In the end implementation of fast charging mathers a lot regarding battery cell life, expectations and so does temperature cell capacity it self determines how fast it will really charge.

Nick Tegrataker, 28 Mar 2021You failed to address any one of the points that I made. Be... morePay more for better hardware. Add free shouldn't be dependent on how much you pay. And lots of cheap brands can buy good specced parts and offer them at a decent cost. They are nothing special in price per spec category.
You stating all the clearly obvious short cuts all lower costs phones have did not all of sudden make this logical... nor did it create any points to address.... it was just you foolishly stating the obvious about less costly phones lacking features compared to more costly phones......duh?????

Anonymous, 27 Mar 2021Not everyone wants 2 wait 2hrs for slow charging like iPhon... moreIt's always iPhone users telling everybody to be okay with mediocre 20W charging.
Sorry..... But a phone with 60hz display and 20W fast charging in year 2021 cannot qualify as premium in any, way shape or form despite the premium pricing.
My wife switched to the MI 10 ultra from iPhone 11 pro... She's never been happier with her device.

Will the phones last longer ? Is the battery of higher capacity ? If not, nobody cares.

Last time I heard, ultra fast charging was safe. Chinese manufacturers made it safe.. IPhone using ancient technology

FromFrance, 27 Mar 2021First smartphone with 125w ultra fast charging ? I think the more watt the charging has the worst it is for your phones battery health in the long term. I'm not an iPhone fan but they've kept their battery charging simple, that's why it lasts longer in the long run and I think other phones need to chill out. Not everyone is in such a huge hurry to charge their phones from 0-100% in half an hour

Samsung can not just copy it, there has to be some difference or they get sued.

Samsung would copy it and changed the name into "GALAXY CHARGING S1"

It's literally as easy as turning off a few toggles and hey presto...NO MORE ADS! I sometimes think folks just read negative comments and take them as facts instead of finding out the truth about things. Give me a phone that does everything a Samsung does for half the price any day even if I have to take a whole (gasp) 2 minutes to turn off a few ads lol!!!

Donho, 27 Mar 2021My global MI11 has none of that. No ads. No bloatware.Good to hear. Their mi flagship lineup is priced in line with the competition so it's good that the mi11 doesn't suffer from too many ads as a more expensive device
