26 March 2021
It's a maxed-out ROG Phone 5 with 18GB RAM, 512GB storage and a rear PMOLED display and few more tricks up its sleeve.

How is the durability of ultimate. Is it same as Rog 5. Does it break into 2 parts.

    Looks gorgeous 😍

The Note 9 had 512 GB internal storage in 2018 and S10 had 1 TB in 2019, not sure why 512 GB should be considered special in 2021.

you had a very valid reason though.

it's much more reasonable to buy a pc for that price or a full monitor and pc at that price than spending it on a gaming phone that will shatter once you drop it.

Pity it is an android so security updates will be far behind and it will be dropped in less than a year despite having all that RAM.

So gsmarena is reviewing special units, not ones for the masses. How thruthful would then the reviews be?

I like the look of it but also very poor quality for such an expensive phone.
In a drop and bend test there was not much over from it, even the iPhone was much better.

They are focused on a specific group (gamers) which make up a very very small amount in the market... they don't have good cameras, some of them are thicc af, you cant really use most of them as daily drivers, they look terrible and flashy (comes down to taste really), have unnecessary features that only gamers would take advantage of... they are focused on gaming and thats it

I actually prefer the looks of the vanilla ROG Phone 5 than the Pro/Ulti edition. Kinda wish there was a Strix version w/SD 870 and costs around $499.
