But this xiaomi was just a chinese Aquos Crystal.
The design, position of front cam and the piezoelectric audio.
Mix 3 is slider just like Honor Magic 2.
Upcoming Mix 4 is based on Z Fold.

In today's tech world things that are six months old are considered outdated..this Mi Mix looks great even after five years..Had a chance recently to play with it for s while and it's a special piece of kit,totally opposite of the vast majority of current devices...

Most of the tech going into Mix phones eventually end up on other Xiaomi phones and other devices later down the line. Because it's experimental they don't necessarily release a new Mix line every year.

It had huge display and battery for a 2016 flagship!
That's about the battery size we get in today's flagships, 4000-5000 mAh.

I always thought that the Mi Mix series was like Xiaomi's Galaxy Note - a flagship for the second half of the year but in 2019 they didn't release one. Very excited about the new one coming soon.
