Well, I agreed that the camera is more important. When transported to PC, it's easier to notice lack of quality in camera shot.
Compared to audio, I think peoples with superior hearing whom difference between audio will actually matters a lot is still minority among phone users (and human in general). Not to mention the issue of degrading hearing on modern day peoples because of prolonged listening of loud musics through earphones :P

hi, to me there must be 2 things a phone now must have to get the edge. one is the ability to make your own LCD(like samsung and LG) and great camera modules (like Sony and Samsung and LG). You can add many soft features but you can never be the best because how great are your software features another company will already have it there somewhere; so phones will evolve until they almost clone each other in function and the one that can survive this drawn out battle is number 1 the LCD and 2 the camera then others. :)

At last something new is coming. i also agree that this is just the beginning. Motorola will fight back. Maybe this is just a bit of their future plan. I've heard about their plan about the new Rokr E6 that have 5 mega pixel xenon camera. Other is still rumors. Motorola, show the world what you guys have. Don't keep it a secret anymore. Let the world see it and buy it.

Oh I hope motorolla manufactures have finally read my comment and come up with some brand new mobiles some of which are music oriented.I wish you all the best guys. One more advice, In countries like India try releasing more models that are more music oriented with good music quality and that are in the mid price range like sony ericsson walkman series. If it is a hit you could make a very good comeback in countries like India where the mobile market is experiencing a terrific rise in purchasing. Finally try realeasing more varities not just a few because that could very much make the difference between sucess and defeat like nokia did.I hope you experience a renissance moto a class company like yours should not go down the drain in such a fashion just because you dont have enough variety of models.

It's for their image and sort of bragging rights among the tech enthusiast. The main point is, they satisfy some group of peoples showing that they do capable of building top-of-the-line phone, showing that their highest model is on-par with the other brand.
Even if Nokia sells more of their 3 series phones, the N9 series gave peoples the good impression about their brand.
That's in my opinion. The tech oriented peoples would care if there are new and advanced technologies applied, even if the phone might then be priced worthier spent on a motorbike for example.
Not that everyone will buy it rather than a motorbike :P

To all the Moto haters out there...
Much you complain about Moto's innovation and "not" releasing some super top-of-the-line handsets running on European 3G (pesonally I like 3.5G handsets too!) costing over US$500, if you own Moto and you know 1/3 of your customers being Americans (who don't use European 3G), and the other 1/3 of your customers being Chinese, who is running its own TD-SCDMA 3G system, and "most" people there aren't likely to afford handsets costing over US$300. (I'm a poor guy who can't afford any handset costing over US$400) Would you release handsets like the ones above which will SELL to 2/3 (if not more) of your customers? Or would you spend your resources to develop those top-of-the-line handsets costing over US$500 which can never meet the volume to the low-mid end phones?
I feel Moto is like Honda...no V8, no rear-wheel drive (except S2000?), but does it make great cars? Yes! (and to those who think BMW's can perform better, let's see how many of them can survive either in the Middle East desert or humid Asia countries.

Why are you guys so negative about Motorola? Making a big mistake in the past doesn't mean they will screw up forever.

This is irrelevant, it might as well be a leaked Siemens roadmap. Better yet, make it a pan-am catalogue. Motorola are dead in the water.

Like almost all other Motorola handsets. Nothing that surprises me. Nothing that makes me want them. No love, no feeling, no reason to buy them.

The Z10 is already in production coming to a store near you in few days...
But I agree, IF this was their complete 2008 portfolio it wouldn't be much, fortunatelly there is more to come, much more...

LOL Good old Motorola!
They show us all these handsets - handsets that will never exist. Who are they kidding? The Z10 was announced a long time ago - where is it? Running out of funds?
The day's of the RAZR are over and they've missed the train - Motorola won't exist for much longer, so why tease?
