Noice!
No hole/notch on the main display.
Also, it is nice that finally, as I said it would be better this way, they finally combined Macro and Telephoto, and get the Macro a big resolution bump from 5Mp to 8Mp (though 12 would have been appreciated for a Macro, and is really lacking for a Telephoto).
Things seem to move in the right direction sometime.

IMO,the overall design is between Galaxy Fold and Galaxy Fold2.
Outside screen is bigger than Galaxy Fold,but look very weried.Inner screen dont have UTG.The inner screen is made by TCL/CSOT.From.What I learned is that both CSOT and Boe are working on UTG too so hope we can see UTG glass on next generation Huawek Mate X3 and Xiaomi Mix Fold2.
What I interested is the new liquid lens and their own designed ISP,the Surge C1.
I would say Galaxy Fold2 is more a better choice if you want a King of Fold phone but I will still buy the Mix Fold because I am a Mifan.
In the same time,there a lots of new feature on this phone's MIUI system,which show Xiaomi is working on MIUI for Pad/Fold phone

This is a no notch/hole full screen display when unfolded into 8 inch screen. This is great compared to Samsung foldables where there is a hole in the display for selfie when unfolded. Great job Xiaomi

What are the chances that the display is Samsung made? Xiaomi and others have the advantage of an already tried and tested technology.
Samsung needs to improve their Foldables' feature, especially their cameras. They're already great, but they need to be superb.

A brilliant piece of technology indeed!
I'm just concerned about that liquid lens when used in extreme conditions in real world. Will it evaporate after it gets exposed to near boiling temperatures? As much as how carefully Xiaomi designed and engineered the components of this idea, I really doubt that it will be completely free from heat, especially considering that there's an electrical component that produces heat inside, which is the SoC itself.
If they could somehow manage to address this well, then I must say I'm totally blown away at their execution.

If the European price is also 1300 EUR it is worth considering over the Samsung S21 Ultra, Huawei Mate 40 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro and all non-foldable flagmans in that range.

If xiaomi can make lite version, with cut corners at the right place, make it $999 and that foldable might be the first foldable that sold like crazy

Looks very cool, and I'd definitely be interested. My issues are A) snapdragon 888. Very inefficient chip, 870 or 865+ would have been better. B) the battery should not have been split, but rather one half of the phone should have been mostly battery and they would have easily been able to fit a 5000mAh cell, which would have been real life performance than a split 5200-ish cell, save for charging speed.
I'll wait till the camera tech filters down to a more proven design.

Mate X2 feels like a much better package overall (except for the absurd price obv) imo.
This again skips hrr on one screen, has a much narrower cover display like the Fold2, no OIS (wow)-though it has the much lower price going for it!

if they did this before Fold 1st gen, that must have been an achievement.
