i0S.-.Never.-.Again, 01 Apr 2021Stop 🚫✋ trying to promote anti-consumer trends. Is not about promoting anything, is about how things are. Hate it love it, things are like that now. And the same will be in the future (especially the port less part).
You can blame it on consumers like me, because we accept this things. You can blame it on Mickey Mouse if it makes you feel better. But it's what the direction the market is heading right now. And why not, I like the idea of a port less phone. And I am pretty sure I am not the only one.

IPhone provides zero competition in terms of cameras or anything else for that matter.

When you have sub 200€ Android phones sporting bigger sensors than the iPhone 13 series, that's when you know, that this will be yet another overpriced iPhone release.
Just like iPhone 12 was a rebranded iPhone 11 with A14 chip.
The iPhone 13 will be rebranded iPhone 12 with A15 chip.

I understand that in other countries iPhones can see significant mark-up, but even then you have the cheaper SE version.

This way environmental-conscious customers choose to skip it while others can enjoy the great fast charging experience out of the box.

Having to pay for a charging brick for your brand new phone is stupid and it will always be considered to be.

I returned mine (iPhone 12 mini) after 6 days, gave me battery anxiety all day. Admitted the form factor but later started being appreciative of bigger screens. It's not just about holding the phone. Typing is extremely tricky, content consumption feels more to be desired, all these compromises are not acceptable just for the small form factor

This wasn't very precise, I want to be more precise. An example:
A 25mm equivalent camera with f/2 lens and 10mm² sensor has an effective aperture diameter that is twice as large as the effective diameter of a 25mm equivalent camera with f/4 lens and 10mm² sensor, but it has the same effective aperture diameter as a 25mm equivalent camera with f/4 lens and 40mm² sensor. The reason is f=focal length. A larger sensor needs a larger focal length in order to achieve the same field of view.
So the 10mm² f/2 camera as well as the 40mm² f/4 camera have an effective aperture diameter that is twice as large as the effective aperture diameter of the 10mm² f/4 camera, if the field of view is the same.
