2. no SD card slot
3.giving less for more, example: 1080p display and plastic back for $800
4. sluggish and buggy one UI

    Samsung is always on TV.

    They spend tons of dollars on ads because they know this helps sales.
    Other do not.
    So, they cannot complain about losing money.

    If you want to sell your products, let people know they exist.

      One of the main reasons why I don't choose LG over Samsung is because of their slow update and sometimes not updating at all after a year. Samsung also puts more marketing for their phones and able to make people to perceive its value to be higher than LG. I think the surge of Chinese brands like Xiaomi and BBK puts the final nail in the coffin, unable to compete in flagship arena and affordable range.

            I mean why didn’t Samsung have the same fate? They all started from the same level back in the day. LG phones were actually more appealing than Samsung ones. Samsung saw the market trend and smart up. LG, HTC and others didn’t, so it’s their fault too.

              The only innovation here that isn't useless in the entire article is 1440p which is still in phones today. This is probably why they couldn't capitalize on the innovations. The main take away here for HTC and Sony and whoever else is waiting is that you have to compete on price. Finding a niche would be helpful too, but it has to be along with price and be something there is an appetite for.

                They also invented permanent glue on batteries and not providing spare parts, resulting in lots of e-waste. I am happy they pulled out of this sector.

                  I mean I get it, it’s a bad thing, but this articles are becoming too much.
                  People want to know about other stuff as well. Besides, they are out now, no need to put more salt on the wound, for the people who cared about LG.
