WolfpackN64, 08 Apr 2021The SD480 is probably going to deliver all the performance ... moreYou are correct but is it worth 350 euro ? It's expected to be priced at 150 maximum as it's the lowest SD class chip. If your willing to pay 350 euro then you probably want something for the money and you can get SD860 or 870 and both with 120hz screens and you can choose do you want LCD 120hz or AMOLED 120hz for that price. I bet Poco X3 Pro and Poco F3 both have way better camera setup for the same price then this Nokia with the SD480 for 350 euro price

Hemedans, 08 Apr 2021first they dont sell much here in Africa, Tecno/infinix/ite... moreI was not talking about the global sales in Africa. Maybe I expressed myself wrong. It was about where they have their focus and main sales of their feature and lower tier phones. There was a report of it but i can't remember where i saw or read it.

At global level its highest billing was in North America followed by Europe. Although, probably, their year-on-year percent change a lot in their 2021 annual report viewing their current and expected mobile phone catalog for this year. Anyways lets see what they end releasing, we will watch it when it becomes public next year, probably in March 2022.

Anonymous, 08 Apr 20212 year warranty, 3 year software updates, stock android 11,... moreI do not agree. If you have followed HMD's update history these years since it started ... As time has passed and they have added more models to their catalog, more delays have suffered their updates, from months to more than a year late. Not to mention that some model fell by the wayside without receiving the promised updates.

Their Roadmap of updates as of today is not credible. It is somewhat variable as it suits them. Therefore, the three years of updates that you mention do not guarantee in any way that these phones will receive the three versions of the operating system that you mention Android 11, 12 and 13. Can you show me a document that HMD Nokia delivers to the customer in the box or guarantee that you will get those three versions of Android on your phone? I'm sure you can't. Therefore that statement is false. At most, they will update those phones along those three years with any type of update they finish for those phones, that could be from bugfixes to a one or more major version and the rest security updates, or something else. And surely there will be some small print somewhere and disclaimer if they do not. All companies do it and are legally covered because they know very well that many times they do not comply.

The two-year guarantee/warranty, at least in Europe, is a legal requirement that all the products that are officially sold here, locally, comply with. Xiaomi, Samsung, Sony, or any other brand will give you that guarantee/warranty. Another thing is if you import something from outside, but that is another issue.

Shiny Dave, 08 Apr 2021If I was going to completely abandon bang per buck in order... moreWell, I only see a handful of opportunistic people milking a well-known brand with products far inferior to the competition and hoping that stupid people will just look at the brand and pay more for less.

But today after several years and once the nostalgic moment has passed. People have been smart enough to see the play. And hence the low sales they currently have and why their current biggest market is Africa where they probably have marketing campaigns or paid people brainwashing other people to buy their garbage.

ispitonyourgravy, 08 Apr 2021Poco F3 has no NFC feature, something these Nokias do have.... moreDon't trust them? why? I just rooted my mi 10T lite because I found miui quite heavy but I don't know about not trusting them. I had a Chinese ROM on my infinix, Vivo and Xiaomi redmi note 8 pro. Never had a problem. What are you suggesting? They're hacking me? No chance. I know what I'm doing and can identify potential exploits but also I'm not that interesting. I know the FBI were told no more Huawei phones. They hold national intelligence information on their phones so it might make more sense but even still I think that is bullcrap.

ispitonyourgravy, 08 Apr 2021Poco F3 has no NFC feature, something these Nokias do have.... moreOk I've got to comment now on this assumption by many people that us 'westerners' don't trust Chinese brands! I'm from the UK and like many of us here in the west I want well specced phones at reasonable prices and at the moment Xiaomi/Poco/Redmi are knocking it out the park with their handsets. Personally (I can't speak for everyone obviously) I would take a Xiaomi phone over anything from samsung, apple and especially hmd(Nokia) as they offer the best bang for buck out there. I don't know if they collect data or spy or whatever bla bla bla goes off with these tech companies but I know for sure Google, Microsoft, Amazon etc do it so what's the difference? I don't have any national security secrets so they all welcome to 'spy' if they want! If you paranoid about this kind of stuff then you should get off anything tech and shut down all your accounts as they all collect your data. Anyway my point is that these cheap and nasty 'nokias?' simply can't compete at these ridiculous prices with joke specs when you can buy phones with 8xx chips for less with way better specs from most of the Chinese manufacturers even if they do rebrand and re release the same phones over and over. I know some people will point out the update promise and fair play if they stick to that 5he others should take note but my Poco X3 NFC blitzes these phones for under £200 so unless they sell for litterally£100-£150 in the UK they gonna be doa.

                                https://www.po.co/global/product/poco-f3/specs

In Europe seems to have NFC and cost 299 euros. Anyways Xiaomi has a lot of phones with NFC and similar price, so you can choose the one with NFC you prefer. All them better than these X20 and X10. You can also purchase the Samsung A52 5G for around 335 euros in flash sales.

I can't find a single reason to justify the prices of each phone released today by HMD. Even less the cheaper ones released today when Redmi 9 is miles better than the C20 - C10 for the same price and a have a lot better future proof for poor people that can't afford more expensive ones. And sure that the Redmi 9 will have some custom Android 14 Rom in the future. Something impossible for the C20-C10 Unisonic SoC junk/crappy phones.

Yes it's ""Nokia"" indeed. Just hurry up and LG yourself already, this is embarrassment to a legacy of real Nokia.

With those prices i would like to have what they are smoking:) Both of those phones are sub 150 euro phones. Good luck with that Nokia and i see a similar fate like LG. Very soon if i may add:)
