bla.bla.meh, 12 Apr 2021100x zoom on S21, yeah sure...Fun fact, that photo sequence was taken hand held. No tripod or anything. Samsung's image stabilisation is rather mind-blowing, considering how little you have to shift a finger to lose track of what you're trying to shoot when zoomed in at x100. Yes, Anything above 30x is more for seeing thing you can't spot with your naked eye, but, it's frigging impressive how it works.

uknowme, 12 Apr 2021Haha as usual from samsung fanboy. yes i use S series phone... moreA Samsung fanboy? What a childish reasoning.
With your logic, You should be an iPhone fanboy, since it was Apple that implemented a Glass back, for the first time (iPhone 4).
The only reason to have a glass back, is the feel of holding a "premium device". But the easily shattered glass back, will cost you also a premium to change it (comp. to a plastic back)...

              "frosted glasstic"
              what a Marketing BS

Those glass back panel just shatters & those aluminum ones bend and gets dinged. Plastic/polycarbonate ones are better in my opinion as it can last longer when it comes to ruggedness.

Anonymous, 12 Apr 2021Do you use your smartphone without any protection? Sounds v... moreI use Poco F1. Still working fine

Snapdragon 845 is still rock solid right now. I can even play PUBG at HDR extreme which is crazy for an 3 year old chip. It even rivals the 765G in performance, Cpu, Gpu. But not in Features, ai, isp, security, etc. I haven't noticed any lags, stutters, or slowdowns despite having already used an 144hz phone with 865

1080p 60hz ips lcd is more than enough, good colours, bright enough, and very minor scratches. Ips lcd or amoled, you wouldn't notice it. Flat screen always. 60hz is fine, even after using an 144hz panel, i can still go back without any problems, sure there are some frame skipping, but it dissappears once you don't look at them.

The 12 Mp camera is OK. But install gcam and you can get excellent daytime photos, nighttime is great thanks to Sony imx 363 large pixels. With gcam, you even get 4k30fps with EIS and 4k60fps option. And also, there is an software which can make turn the 5 MP depth sensor into an 5 MP macro cam in my gcam.

The plastic build is fine. It is matte, so not slippery. And i have used glass phones and indeed it feels 99% very simillar except for the sound when you knock at it, and the cool touch feeling.

The speakers, haptics, microsd slot is fine. And even a headphone jack.

The battery life is excellent. Still getting 8 hours Screen time. Charging from 0 - 50% took me 40 minutes, and 100% in 1 hours 30 minutes. Not so fast, but still better than an IPhone.

I am expecting to upgrade next year from my F1 to an Flagship killer. Having Flagship chipset, big battery, design that feels good in hand, software updates, and fast charging really maters if you plan to use your phone for more than 3 years and feel comfortable with it. Rest of the phone i don't care that much. But Poco F3 is damn good.

There is no real reason to have a glass back on a smartphone (there is no function, that doesn't work on a plastic back), except for the look & feel. Most people that use a smartphone (despite the price of the phone), put their phone in a ... PLASTIC case, so the glass-phone won't shatter into pieces. What was the point for a glass back again?

TrainingAddict, 12 Apr 2021So what if you have better hardware on paper, since the sof... moreWell, because hardware and design are the first things people see or read about. Nobody knows 100% how the software will be like on that particular device. Even if you had similar phones from the same manufacturer in the past.
Software can be improved in time if the manufacturer puts its mind on it, hardware not so much, unless you buy the next model.
But, I get your point too. The relation between software and hardware is also very important. Also, if you are not satisfied with any particular model or brand, you can always change them. There are other fish in the sea.
