This seems nice and all, but RIM might be a bit too late to the party.
iOS and Android currently dominate mobile operating systems...and there's still place for maybe ONE MORE...but that might be taken by WP8.

BlackBerry was key to providing real message notification in the mobile device market and may raise the standards of touch based interaction with high levels of information presented to the user such as multiple email/sms alerts. The conony should politely tell commentators and unknowledgeable analysts from the financial and IT sector to back down from wrongly attacking the company for taking its time to provide a quality offering as opposed to caving into the current culture of random endless software updates and rushed market launches to placate ignorant investors. Best of luck for BB.

seems very similar to the operation on the playbook, almost as if they've combined functionality of the phones and the tablet itself. still very unique. looking foward to testing it out for myself. im sure this would be the greatest evolution for blackberry thus far.................. cant wait!

The unified messaging service, this is what I wan't to see, since I'am a heavy texter and emailer. I'm looking forward to other features BB10 can offer. Yes multi tasking is one of the feature why i stick to my Blackberry.
Yeah you can say that RIM is going down, I don't care, their smartphone is very usefull device on my daily activities.

A bunch of awkward swypes? Had enough of that with my Nokia N9. Where's the value add? Aside from the business mode, there's nothing new from what I can see.

While I am no Blackberry fan myself, some people swear by it and its BBM. I am impressed that they were innovative and did not copy the other 3 OS's. People who say so are nitpicking. Its good that they are trying to stay relevant on their own. I wish nokia had trusted in meego the same way. Whether BB10 will make a dent in the smartphone market or not is yet to be seen.

UI is evidently inspired by N9's Meego interface. It actually feels like a rip-off and dumbed down version of N9.

WOW! I can see all the OS'es in one device.
HAHA. MeeGo and iOS is obviously their inspiration. XD
They're also hiding the real look of the device inside a case just like what Samsung did in their Galaxy SIII.
Anyway, I'm a Nokianatic but "clap, clap" to BB. Their own OS looks more fluid than Android OS.. :)
