Qimchi, 14 Apr 2021120hz ain't worth it with a 600 or 700 series chipset.... moreMan, you're missing a good feature if you haven't experienced 120 Hz. It's a big improvement in smoothness while latency is slightly better. It is a satisfying experience in my opinion and once your eyes get used to it, they are more sensitive towards frame rate where even 60 FPS doesn't feel right. The chipset includes an Adreno 619 which is capable of 120 Hz and scrolling content shouldn't be a problem.

Considering how expensive this will be, they should've put a 120 Hz, even the A52 5G has a 120Hz sAMOLED display. I don't think it's that costly anymore. Maybe they decided not to use it to not undermine the Xperia 5 III.

I'll pick this premium looking Xperia over any other mid-range phone anyday. It's a Sony

Dream phone, compact and already 5g support

This phone with 18-19:9 aspect ratio and Snapdragon 780G SoC will sell like hot cakes. I don't like sony phones anymore just because of the stupid aspect ratio! It is not comfortable for typing.

This phone has received major upgrade over it's predecessor both in physical and software areas. If the price is $450 then this is a no brainer really. Perfect alternative for those who want compact phone. It's packed with features for a midrange option.

Not impressed, Vivo X60 Pro (periscope version) is my choice unless Mi Note 11 is released this year offering even a better package. Or some Redmi Zoom more appealing. I still find the Mi Note 10 more atractive.

                        They really do not like.
The japanese X Compact had, while oversea version did not.

Now that midranges are sold in Japan again, they all have.
Even the old $250 X8 Lite has IP68.

A lot of people these days just look at the features on paper and the refresh rate is one of the most looked at thing. Because lots of manufacturers are putting it even on sub 200EUR models nowadays. IP rating is not that important, at least not as a first feature people look at.
Of course, for me is not that important if you have a good software optimization.
Also, if they will price this model too high, I am not seeing them very good in sale numbers.

A really good package, if they price it @USD/Euro-400, then I think it's a great deal!
Though some people may criticize the lack of hrr, but personally I won't fret much

I knew Sony wouldn't be using the SD 765G chipset for the Xperia 10 series. Still, SD 690 means that this Xperia is a compelling rival to the OnePlus Nord N10 5G.

GeeX, 14 Apr 2021Still 60Hz.. not acceptable.. To be honest, for a midrange phone, I don't see any reason to have a 120Hz refresh rate.
