      Variable telephoto lenses is nice, but 4.4 is much less than 10! S21 Ultra wins, again! Next!

          Every thing is good. But I prefer to buy Samsung which gives 10x zoom

But not all features are activated. You have to manually activate them to use them. So RAM usage out-of-the-box is pretty lean and comparable to Sony's.

                Here begins the era or variable focal length on the periscope. It's just the start, let other OEMs jump in. Oppo will be the next I guess

                  All looks great, but knowing Sony....we could expect this device in shops at and of August or during September, and until then, there will be a lot more good devices to choose from....and probably for cheaper than this Xperias.

Samsung needed at least 12GB RAM to keep everything running, so Sony's 12GB RAM could be comparable to Samsung's 16GB RAM.

At least Sony's 4K 120Hz panel comes close to displaying 12MP images in its native resolution.

                      Resolution isn't everything. 12MP actually helps improve light gathering capabilities and beats high-resolution Quad Bayer sensors in low light when both are used equally the same (no image enhancements, no multi-frame image stacking).
                      Your S21 Ultra's 108MP sensor may struggle locking its focus at night, whereas this 1 III's Dual Pixel PDAF on all of its rear sensors will make sure to always nail the focus right in the same scenario.

So far there have been two instances of such usage in S20 Ultra and Mi10 Ultra. My take was that newly developed sensor for 1III telephoto will indeed do better job than 586 as telephoto.

                                    Only 12 mpix camera and 8gb ram for a price of a super expensive flagsip.
                                    I am very dissapointed.

                                      5III is best.... hope the its not too expensive!
