Obviously the sensor can't output anything without image processing and lens quality.
Go ahead, take a small sensor and try generating sharp video footage with all the image processing buddy.

Some people became Sony's fans but some years ago they started to make phones that didn't really catch up to the market and the fans split into two: those who loyal and those who moved on but still wishing Sony could make a proper come back. And those two often make a row defending their opinions on every Sony related post.

It's not quite revolutionary, just a properly done evolution. I reckon it's still won't reach bigger market Samsung have but the thing is, it's perfect for Sony fans, myself included. And I must admit because Sony makes and maintains a small niche, the fans are the most loyal users I've ever seen.

I feel sorry for you that you have to rely on night mode.
My find X3 pro giving me natural looking night shots with minimum noise, no excessive exposure, and with great detail, similar to what you see with your naked eye.

Seems to be Decent upgrade.
Is it the only SD888 with both MicroSD slot and 3.5mm jack?
I wonder if Sony thin-ish bezel is the cause for 8mp limitation for the front camera?
It have less space for sensor compared to teardrop or punchhole.
Not to mention why sony use this 1/1.7" main camera sensor where they already produce a bigger 1/1.43" sensor for OnePlus. Not to mention the rumored full 1" sensor that they currently build...
