      This is pretty sick. Ideally I'd rather it just be a 2 stage rollable rather than folding, but all in all it's still really good.

        Fold n Roll in a single device seems too ambitious. Unless they make a titanium frame and a super tough screen, much tougher than both a foldable and a rollable device.

                What's the point of such device? Rollable device was supposed to introduce variable aspect ratio and solve all foldable issues (like hinge in the middle). Now, TCL is trying to make a corrupted innovation?! Everything cool doesn't mean everything great.

                    I definitely remembered TCL showing a prototype of this idea back in 2019. But this is still being a concept phone, if TCL ever made it on sale, I can bet that it would cost more than $2500. There is literally no way TCL can sell this for $2000 or under, just... no way!

                      i think this will replace the LG rollable after the shutdown of the phone business and can complete with all the folding phones
                      keep working on this :)

                        I hope xiaomi can first use it...
                        TCL have a good relationship with Xiaomi,OLED screen on Mi10(some of them),Mi10Ultra,Mi11 Lite and Mix Fold are made by TCL...

                                Wouldn't it be great if these companies could do a phone that contracts to a smaller size. Say 6.7" down to 5.0". I feel this may be more useful. You can get plenty of 10" or 8" tablets but not many 5" phones.

                                  Amazing! Hats off for this amazing product! I never expected such a thing from this company.

                                    Watch out for TCL they are serious with display technologies

                                    They aren't a one trick pony like samsung with OLED only

                                    They rightfully believe in development of LCD and OLED and they have some nice things coming


                                    They have LCD displays without and backlighting solution

                                    In their TVs OD -zero technology is looking amazing for MINILED especially seeing that samsungs MINiLED are low quality based on reviews to far

                                    They are basically the only manufacturer that have IGZO panels that's not stuck with SHARP

                                    And they have some nice OLED panels too in the pipeline

                                      Probably the coolest thing TLC has made. I hope it releases soon 😁
