14,8 cm - 13,66 = 1,14 cm.
So it will have 5mm bezels.
Or it will have 6 inch or 6.1 inch screen

I like the look of this but I think it may be expensive. SD 888 means at least £700 I would think. The Pixel 5 (then 6 in the autumn) are the only two other phones I am thinking about to replace my Essential PH1.

the iPhone 12 Mini/2227mah in terms of battery life is likely similar to an Android phone with a 3000mah battery, maybe 2800mah.
iOS has the luxury of being more power efficient, I just hope that it this isn't just a rumour that Asus has managed to fit in a decent battery size.
5.92", 1080x2400, 120Hz, 16GB RAM, SD888....all powered potentially by a 3000mah battery, this battery size being around the traditional size inside 5.7-5.9" phones.
Surely 90Hz, 8GB, SD780G would be more than good enough on a small android phone?
Google has managed to pack a 4000mah inside the pixel 5 which is only 6.1" diagonally, perhaps reducing that I hope it's 3500mah inside the Asus ZenFone Mini or else it's gonna be very, VERY poor on battery.

The iphone mini has 0,5 inch less display diagonal then the 5,9" zenfone mini and the housing is 131mm tall. Iphone ratio is 19.5:9. just some info.
Calculating screen 'growth' in vertical direction asuming the asus 20:9 ratio.
(a2 x b2 = c2 )
20squared x 9squared = Vertical Diagonal'squared
Vertical diagonal at 20:9 screen is
21,931
vertical DISPLAY growth = 20 / 21,931 x 0,5 inch = 0.456 inch (more screen length)
x2.54 translates into 11,6 mm more.
131mm plus 11,6mm = 142,6 mm
You could be closer to the truth though UNLESS Asus Zenfone mini BEZELS are the same as iphone mini's
We will see. It orobabmy be 144mm

Well, You can keep whatever specs you want but please include a 3.5mm jack with a Hi-Fi Quad DAC like Asus ROG 5. It will easy to purchase if that supports 32-bit/192kHz audio hardware profile.
Damn, there is no single company who is focusing on music lovers. I have LG G7+ Thinq and that is a gem in sound department. Didn't find any replacements (Non-Chinese) till now. Hope this time you people will listen. Thanks

just give sd 750 + chips with 90hz display
More importantly consider weight and thickness
4000+mah 30 w charger
if they bring below 30k

Daige, 18 Apr 2021What is "mini" with a 5.9 inch screen? Such a joke...The iphone mini has a 5.4" screen. Due to the screen ratio and no bezels, the phone only measures 131x64mm. To me this is even too small. The zenfone might be just right, it will be around 142x68 mm i guess. perfect.
Smaller is very irritating typing, browsing , netflix etc.

Well, it depends on how it is made, it can surely be made sturdy enough to handle that, but it would add weight and take space.
There are smaller motorized things that handle much more than this, like servo motors in RC planes, they are hella strong and if the aircraft is fast they need to fight against quite a bit of weight.
But I think they wouldn't make an overkill tough thing, so it would work, and stay together as long as you take care of it, but you wouldn't be able to torture it for too long before it break.
