But when you sell phones for 2500 that have and lack comparable features to those 500-1400 phones thats a big no no.
And as you said....just has some gimmicks. Nothing that warrants another 1 to 2 grand over others.
Not to mention yes some 500 dollar phones have similar specs. But there's a difference between developing the tech while spending way more in r&d, marketing, software, and hardware development. And just bulk buying last years good parts.

People still complain about the price of the phone. Every other brand is using the "Pro" or "Ultra" or "Max" in their name to justify the price of a model that is comparable with a brand selling their phone for 500. Now Sony has announced a phone with gimmicks other brands don't put in their phone, and still people are complaining about "the price". Please stop and wait for the actual review of the phones, before you make a conclusion of a phone you wouldn't buy.

If you want a good camera, why are you searching for a phone? Your pictures will still be ugly when shooting with a good camera. Stay away from photography.

And TRUST ME no one will buy a 1500 collar phone, good hardware but hopeless image quality even worse then 500 dollar REDMI phone and its reality, we all know.

With all this complex functions and processing if people are expecting SD888 to handle it without the help of a dedicated processing for grinding the math behind it then you guys are clueless.

Just collaborate with Google to make a Sony Pixel phone.
Google is crap at hardware, Sony is crap at software.
Xperia phones already have a very stock-like Android, more and more of Sony's apps are replaced by Google ones e.g. Sony Album vs Google Photos.
The most obvious alliance and a natural marriage.
