Sony Alpha engineers explain how they developed the Xperia 1 III camera

          Also all 1300€ and more phone on the market have major flaw so I don't really get your point either.
          There are people that would just get rid of the selfie camera so you know, and they absolutely don't frigging care about it if it wasn't just there. If selfie camera is important to you, go buy another thing? I really don't understand people that are stuck with one brand. Don't you know you earn nothing from sticking to a brand, no medal, no chocolate? Sony don't even know you and don't care what you buy either. So do Samsung, Huawei or whatever brand.

Xperia 1 II takes photos with the front camera as a 200 euros phone , which for me is unacceptable, no matter how many people say that this phone serves other purposes or interests. It is a big disappointment for me that they didn t improve the selfie camera on the mark3. A 1000 euros phone should be excellent in every way. Thinking to skip the mark3 and wait till next year to change my mk2

I now have the xperia 1 II and i like everything about it. Style , format, the feeling that it provides, smooth operation etc. Except for the damn selfie camera that always blows things up day or night... I own sony phones for more than 6 years now and i like them the most... I also have a note 10 but i use it as a secondary phone.. I m a bit upset that they didn t improve this area. It would have been a nice effort and would have appealed to more mainstream users. Most of my friends are very interested in the quLality of the front camera and they use iphones, samsung, huawei. Too bad that sony can t keep up when it would have been very easy

                            Now the question arises. When you know that it is not suitable for you and that being obvious fact. WHY ARE YOU HERE??

                            I mean seriously it is obvious that is not for you and you already know that. I am surprised that knowing that well you are still here commenting on which is literally irrelevant for you.

                            I recommend looking at iPhone 12 Pro or wait for 13 Pro if possible. But if you want to stick in Android realm I say look at OnePlus 9 Pro or wait for SAMSUNG Note 21 series as that is better than S series on a long run.

I use selfie camera quite a lot and actually it s pretty practical when no one is around to get you the right photo. Competition is better, also at lower priced devices in this area. Hope they come with a surprise and change the actual sensor with an improved one

                                    While i lament that Sony isn't using a bigger sensor that they already develop for Huawei and OnePlus, Mi 11 Ultra kinda shows the weakness on using big-ass sensor in a thin smartphone body.

                                    It have restriction on lens to sensor distance. Mi 11 Ultra crazily blur everything that is not part of its focus. Mind you, its still take pretty great image but yeah it came with weakness.

                                        The 1 III has a new telephoto camera developed by Sony, so that's a Sony sensor no doubt.

                                        No details on the front camera yet but based on the specs it might be similar to 1 II
