after raking all that money from 100 million ifans, all crApple can do is say sorry? how about plan B? like putting back ios5 with added features? or a price rebate?
c'mon crApple, be creative. you can't just take ifans' savings, say sorry, then run away with the money?
why, that's robbery in broad daylight!

However Apple is very serious about being fully independent with its services. Its not surprising they offered their own maps service. However Siri works great for a beta, and the "hobby" Apple TV works great as well. So perhaps they need to just list it as a beta.

haha it sucks when you have to write that kind of letter to the people.
They should of just said that their maps were in the beta stage like they did with Siri, could of saved themselves the embarrassment.

I'll be the first to admit... I love anything Apple does. But also realize they are not perfect. My only real problem in the past has been Apple's deep reluctance to admit when they've made a mistake. Tim Cook is a decent man. Jobs was a genius and perfectionist, which may be part of why he never was willing to admit Apple's problems. Tim on the other hand appears much more willing to come clean when there are issues. I think this is refreshing coming from Apple. Instead of bashing Apple, maybe people should be a bit more accepting of what may be a change in the way they respond to customer complaints.
Apple's maps has issues. No doubt. But hopefully with their dedication they can improve upon it over the next year and keep offering refinements to it. Its only the beginning for them. Nokia, Google, and Mapquest (and others) were certainly not perfect upon conception.

[deleted post]They removed the app because their licensing agreement with Google expired. I am pretty sure I saw an article on here about that roughly a month ago. Apple is doing just fine with the customers they have (both new and old). And the majority of the people that insult Apple are usually the same ones that go on these tech sites. Most Android and iOS users never go on these sites and compare phones and duke it out in verbal battles in the comments. The only sheep are the ones that come on here and furiously defend their platform regardless of the benefits of other platforms... and YES Android - this includes you. You guys are sheep as well. Apple users (that come to these tech sites) deny their products shortcoming just as much as Android users deny fragmentation
