I have two laptops and two PCs. It's rare watch someone with an Apple here. I only know one person that now have its iMac taking dusk. It's an iMac of 27". He got worried and angry of how Apple and developers for Mac works in relation to the software updates and also upgrading posibilities. But above all with the software and that after some sdk changes being forced to purchase again some apps due to compatibility problems and developers not letting upgrade without a new purchase or big payment, so he refused to do it.
Now he use the PC i built for him and very happy to the freedom it gives to him. He discovered a new world with it and he is very happy now. He still use an iPhone 7 Plus and probably he'll use it forever for the use he gives to it. One of my uncles also has an iPhone. The rest of the family, all with Android and very happy. So as i said it's rare find Mac here outside some store.
iPhones are a bit more common but what i usually notice and watch at the stores is that people watch them a lot, test them and then not buy. It's very curious watch it.
The only place i used a Mac were in the university to learn programming on all operating systems including macOS (OS X) and iOS. We used Mac minis for that purpose. I can work on it if needed.

As the N5P is only 5% performance or 10% power improvement compared to N5 don't expect much especially not increase in core counts for the same power targeted devices.

Xiaomi: 5000/6000 mah battery big mammoth display slower miui etc.

YoloBS, 27 Apr 2021a touch screen Mac is what people want.I have a 17" touch screen notbook and i never use it, i hate watch fingerprints in the display so i doubt that people in general want watch a dirty display. And less working in thing that require put attention to design details like the circuits boards i design or in art, image or 3D design too, etc.

Well the current performance of M1 Macs is more than sufficient for 98% of users for the next 3 years. What we need is versatility in ports on the processor side and a new minimal bezel design on the build side.

So i prefer spend in a multipurpose device than waste money in several ones. A good PC last me more than 7 years easily. I'll build my next one once the shortage end. Probably in the H2 of next years if the problem persist.
I also use a miniPCs for multimedia purposes connected to my smartTVs as give you a lot more posibilities without the restrictions of the closed systems and also a bigger compatibility with decoding software.

Ok, the chip is good, cheers but...they dont sell as much as they advertise, its only marketing to try selling more.

Even for windows, people evaluate the device based on gaming performance like it is all that device is meant to do.

Anyway, if you want to game just grab a PS5 or Xbox Series X (of course, when they will become available, lol). Personally, I always found console gaming simpler and more fun than PC/laptop gaming.
