      This sounds like a very strong mid- range phone (even without the "gaming edition buttons). Will this phone be available in the USA?
      I'd rather not spend $1000 on a Samsung when I can get something like this for so much less.
      Anyone have any info on when Xiaomi will start offering their products here?

          Anonymous, 28 Apr 2021Don't expect midrange with USB 3My Poco X3 NFC and Redmi Note 7 both have USB Type-C. I'm sure this Redmi Gaming Phone has USB Type-C. It's pretty much the standard on phones in the midrange and upwards nowadays.

            MasEnha, 27 Apr 2021Oopss, just clicked the order button of Poco F3 :'(Don't worry brother, I'm sure your gonna Love the Poco F3 anyway and won't be disappointed with it. It has a more powerful chip on it anyway and will be amazing for gaming. If you want an amazing gaming controller to go with the F3 then get the Razer Kishi which will be great for gaming on the phone !

              If this unit doesn't heat, other units should be worried. This is really promising and priced attractively. My kind of smartphone.

My helio g90t are awesome. 4-6 hours of battery life while gaming. That's on 12nm. This one (dimensity 1200) is 6nm while having 500mah more than mine. Also the core setup are 1,3,4 same as sd888 but uses only a78 as the biggest core. The performance are the same as sd870 even the gpu should be around adreno 650.

                            Read comment using POCO F3...hahaahahah..even this k40 gaming like em F3 killer, but it seems like I prefer more to f3, due to its SD870, ohsem battery life, & dolby atmos speaker..its really2 good..

Even Apple does it but with strict QC. Normally, it's not a problem as most consumers are content and not pedantic. The differences aren't drastic. However, when Huawei Mate 20 Pro had used LG panels, the problems do interfere with normal usage so it had to be resolved. I first realised the panel lottery when I had a Redmi Note 4X, there was a developer setting to check the qualities of the phone, I had a Tianma panel which was said to be better than BOE.

                                    The camera lottery isn't unheard of but it is less common. Again, same phone, mine used a Samsung S5K3L8 instead of Sony IMX258 and Omnivision OV13855. Samsung flagships either use Sony or Samsung sensor but both perform very well. I haven't heard a phone that has a lottery between GW1 and IMX682 but software might make both on par with each other. I do know that IMX682 is a superior sensor.

I think the biggest issue was that some phones used mixed screens. Not only from different manufacturers but also with different pixel arrangement. Therefore, when you bought the phone it's pot luck which screen you get. I think the Huawei p40 pro was one of the phones with mixed screens if I remember correctly. Personally, the screen is not my main focus when buying a phone but I think it would probably slightly annoy me if I got one with a weaker screen when somebody else bought the same phone for the same price and got a better screen. Last year some phone models even started to mix camera sensors with some models having GW1 sensors and some with imx682 sensors.
