Sony will be following LG soon enough. They really need to realise they aren't at the top anymore. Drop this down to OnePlus pricing for a few years, get more sales under their belt and then focus on charging the same as Samsung/Apple.

Dual Periscope focal lens, 4GB more RAM, upgrade to Snapdragon 888, added display processors to do 4K@120Hz, and 40% louder speakers/DAC for $100 more than last year is not...TERRIBLE. In the US, that's just $100 more expensive than what the Galaxy S21 Ultra started with.

        Very bad news

Sony's prices are known to drop with sales (esp at black friday) and on refurb markets on ebay.
Just wait it out I guess.

Between $1313-$1468, I can wait when this goes on sale as a Christmas gift. This is a high-end flagship phone which is what I'm planning to switch for. Hopefully by under $1000 at least.

                sony why😂

512gb variant is upwards of $1500 bucks! and 256gb is around the $1300. WTF!? no thank you.

                  (according to the conversion)

                    Is it expensive? Yes; duh.

Is it the only flagship this year to provide all the hardware for my needs? Yep.

Which is why, even if the US version is $1,300/$1,400 for the two versions, I'm still getting it. Like I always say, the company that listens to techies will get my money. That simple.

Lol the chinese will be able to buy a folding phone for 500 CNY more soon enough

Yes, it is expensive, but it is amazing too.
If this phone was also available with a pop up/no front camera + Ultrasonic in-display Fingerprint scanner, I'd buy it without hesitation at this price!

The only other changes I'd see would be to make it thicker just to get at the 5000mAh battery capacity, and give that Ultra-Wide an OIS.

Way too expensive. Sony just extra to follow on the foot steps of LG...
