      natraj, 06 May 2021Evry1 does same thingDoesn't make it right. I like Asus but repackaging last year's phone with a new processor isn't great when there are upgrades that could have been done (2K@90hz or 1080p@120Hz, wireless charging, etc).

        I liked the mini until the second camera was a macro.. Could've been a more useful ultrawide or even better an ultrawide with autofocus and macro capability

          I feel like the vanilla 8 is going to be a major test of if people really do want a compact flagship in the Android space. I hope it's successful just so those who really value compactness for accessibility reasons can benefit from more choices in the future, even though I really value phablet screens also for accessibility reasons (I have coordination difficulties and would not have learned to live with the capacitive touchscreen at all easily without the Dell Streak's 5" screen back in the day).

            I hope the leaks are fake and the flip version has 3.5mm jack and 120hz display.

                Yihaa, a more compagt phone with high end hardware. A little too heavy but it may be may new phone.

                    I suspect that macro is actually ultrawide specs, but if not I'll be very disappointed.

                        "will weigh 230 grams" - that sounds heavy, will need to check in store.

                        I'm really happy to see the (re)rise of the standard headphone jack.

                          I'm confused - return of 3.5 is good. But why chin + hole in screen? If they rotate screen, move chin to top, and place selfie cam in that space, most of those who expected flip camera could be satisfied.
                          zenfone flip - 230 grams!!! Canon PowerShot G9 X Mark II with 1 inch sensor is lighter to carry in your pocket. That's a real brick to carry

                            I am disappointed by the data of the "flip" Zenphone 8.
                            The specs are practically identical to the predecessor: camera, weight or display - no gains or development.

                            As far as I can see the specs are the same as last year except for the SD888.

                            That would be really disappointing.

                                    i think the majority of people were expecting the flip camera on the mini. very sad

                                      20:9 ratio ruined the size of the phone. My 5.97" Mi 9 SE has better dimension at 147.5x70.5x7.5mm compared to this Zenfone 8....9mm thick + 4000mAh? Wow

                                        I think they are missing the zenphone 8 pro with triple camera and larger screen
