Just 12% of global iOS users and 4% of US ones have allowed app tracking since the iOS 14.5 rollout

The numbers are holding steady, but still spell out a grim future for targeted online ads.

I mean there are some tedious, but fool-proof ways like the one Linus showed a few years back with router/IP/DNS level stuff, but I'm interested to know how do u do it.

ads exist only to drive people mad,now they act like viruses and should be wiped out from existence

Lol, even I won't allow app tracking. If anything, I would turn off all the trackers and loggers on iOS just like what I did on my Android phone.

Good. Facebook has to be controlled and put in place.
I don’t use Facebook and Instagram, and also going to stop using most Google services.

Allow or not every company spy on you so calm down and use your device. You don't need to worry unless you are a very important person or a criminal.

Privacy does not exist, so this is a red herring.

I'm not a big proponent of targeted advertising, but these companies are giving Apple too much power and credit. If they shut down their apps iOS and people have to use them in browser people may eventually: acknowledge other phones exist, stop using Facebook or force Apple to reverse course. I don't personally care since I don't use iOS, but a platform is nothing without available software.

I'm so tempted to shift to iOS just due to these options BUT Apple has other big issues at hand that still need to solve.

I hope Samsung implements this in one ui 3.5 or 4.0 because this is a great idea Apple!
