Kuo: iPhones will switch to Apple's own 5G modems in 2023 "at the earliest"

Apple acquired Intel's modem division in 2019 and invested €1 billion in an R&D facility in Germany to develop its own 5G tech.

    [deleted post]Mac already lost the PC war three decades back. They were reduced to being a niche in the PC world. Same thing will happen in the smartphone world. They are already as good as a NPC

      [deleted post]You are right. People are are familiar with Windows and they don't want to be associated with an OS where half the things don't work.

      Have to use emulator to use windows where you get 60% functionality of native windows with the terrible battery life.
      The M1 battery life is good only when running lightweight Mac OS.

        Even mediatek has inbuilt modem on their budget CPUs from 2020.

            Can’t wait for this to happen,each time Apple moves to their own hardware they blow everything else out the water effortlessly.The M1 chip is now old yet still unmatched,the A12Z and A12X are even older and yet to be matched to.Bring that 5G home Tim :) the Apple haters will continue to be incredibly envious and bitter.
