No headphone jack. Again. Bitterly disappointed.
All I want is a phone without a damaged screen (notch/punch-hole), a microSD slot and dual SIM (simultaneously, not either-or), a headphone jack, an OLED display, a decent SoC and a battery that can last a couple days.
These are *basic* features that phones have had for over a decade, yet there is no smartphone in existence with all these features.
How is this too much to ask?
I really liked the Zenfone because it doesn't waste space including a pointless extra camera sensor on the front, saving on needless cost, a nice little bonus.
But again, Asus refuse to offer the absolute basics.
I've given up even bothering to ask for removable batteries or back panels that aren't made from the most delicate and smashable material possible.
"Yeah, let me just encase my $600 portable computer in glass and then carry it around with me." -_-
I hate the smartphone market so very, very much.

I wish Asus had priced them more sensibly. At the given price point it will com[ete with phones that are packed to the gills with features. Tho I expect the smaller 8togetmany more takers, people who just cannot deal with or need tablet sized phones.

It is 15 x 7,6 cm.
Also no second camera to take some space.

if the the flip had fm radio and headphone jack, it would beat s21 ultra for a lot of costumers .
zenfone 8 ( not the flip ) seems ok but for the price adn 4000mah , that would a huge downside

5G hardware would still be there.

And you make a "compact" version with 5.9 inch and you couldn't still fit at least 4500-5000mah battery???
The snap 888 is the most energy inefficient flagship chipset on the planet, bad deal of you ask me.. No one asked me but... Still a bad deal in my opinion

Disappointed that they stuck to 90Hz display. Should've used a 120Hz LTPO display for the flip. Sigh.

Regular 8 looks great, bummer the Micro SD is only in the Flip. I don't need a phone that big.
Price is a little steep too.

599 is a sweet price. If only there was a 4G only version, that would put it right at 499$, which would be great for most of the world, since 5G is still mostly a gimmick

Ridiculous!
Zenfone 8 has a 3.5mm jack, dual sims, but no micro SD card slot.
Zenfone 8 Flip has dual sims, micro SD card slot, but no 3.5mm jack.
It's like the 2 phones were designed by 2 different brands.
