A close friend of mine is currently using a POCO-branded Xiaomi phone (X3 Pro, to be precise) and he did complain to me about the ads coming back despite having already disabled it from the Settings. He even asked me if I would install a custom ROM in it, but I wouldn't do it on a brand new under-warranty phone.

Thus being said, congrats on your purchase. I wouldn't have ditched the S21 Ultra though. Is not like is a far inferior phone. They are both similar spec phones. It all comes down to personal preferences, you can't go wrong with any of them.
Is like selling a Lamborghini to buy a Ferrari. Lol.

You obviously didn't have a Poco or Redmi phone. Even the global versions are full of ads (depending on the models; some models have them all over the place like my past Poco X3 NFC, others not so much like my current Poco F3). Of course, they can all be disabled in couple of minutes, but out of the box they all have ads.

Ever phone i've owned from every brand I could say positive and negative things about. If you only see the negatives and never positives then it is a different story. Also if you only see the positives and never negatives then you are just a blind fan which is a bit like following a cult. All phones have strengths and weaknesses relative to others.

I ditched my s21 ultra for mi 11 ultra and I am not disappointed..having Chinese version with 512gb storage,16gb ram plus Harman Kardon Dolby audio..
Gaming is better on Mi 11 ultra,
Speakers gotta say amazing on Mi 11 ultra,
Screen more or less same as S21 ultra,
Battery life is better on S21 ultra,
Zooming and front camera is better on S21 ultra,
Software updates are more stable and monthly on S21 ultra,
However you always go for the best looking girl in the room right so go for the Mi 11 ultra you won't be disappointed..
