Anonymous, 24 May 2021You dont explain anything special that my 170 euro Redmi no... moreOK, there seems to be some kind of regional price difference going on here. That Nokia was around 1.5x the price of redmi and same price as the poco.
Now what Nokia had that redmi didn't, the same camera from Nokia 8 (without ois) ie 12+13mp, imx362 for main and actual 2x zoom, zeiss lens, front af selfie, usb c, better display, better build quality, it looked good, Android one (which you don't seem to like) . There was a reason why it was called baby Nexus and won several awards.
Redmi note 5 pro was a great phone too though. It bought a significant jump in camera quality in budget phones. But as you don't like stock Android, I don't like miui.

I don't understand why people hype up oled so much
    I mean it's a better display
    The backs are deeper blacks
But the whites in lcd are better whites too
White is also an important color as black is
Only advantage oled has is battery saving
While colors look better but it's oversaturated most of the times
Lcd offers more true to life colors
    Aren't you satisfied with them
And lcd has longer display life too
The screen doesn't burn as quick is it does on oled
I'm not saying LCD is better but some people hype oled too much

sq2013, 24 May 2021I totally agree. I love my Poco F3 but I have held it along... moreIt's the same thing I've been saying

The consumers act like cheerleaders for OLED

But when they are alone by themselves and have to replace the screen they squeal...

I remember a neighbour got an M series Samsung for 150 and they charged him 70$ for a replacement 50% of the phones value smh

thats a gd step taken by xiaomi, the punch hole was always my fav front camera style , but having such a good refresh rate? i really would love to own one of those

I love my Poco F3 but I have held it alongside a Samsung S21 ultra and the difference is minimal. I have then compared to my Xiaomi mi 10T lite and I don't really see a huge amount of difference. The amoled is better and when you first start using it, for like a few minutes, you think wow the black colour is so black and then you just get used to it and when I put my sim back in to my infinix zero 8i or Xiaomi mi 10T, I don't notice a huge difference. They all have perfectly usable and legible screens. Manufacturers just blow smoke up consumers backsides to make it look like paying a premium for amoled is such a great decision. It suits manufacturers too because they want customers to upgrade. You can source a replacement LCD for a damaged screen for twenty or thirty euros but if you want to buy a replacement amoled, manufacturers charge about 150-300 euros so it's not worth it and people buy a new phone. You can keep an LCD phone going for years. Amoled is more complicated. I can't understand how consumers cannot see through what manufacturers are doing.

Anonymous, 24 May 2021It's not a waste if someone buys it, uses it and gets ... moreIt's electronic waste because a huge percentage will not sell. They're producing these in bulk and the unsold ones will be discarded and wrote off as breakage like every business. Also many will be returned and they'll try and resell unsuccessfully as GAN models. I work in this business so I know how it works.

That's so far and counting. We're only in May. Care to revise your poorly researched opinion?

                  Sweeeet they went LCD

This will likely be a higher quality panel than on the AMOLED redmi Note 10

And with a more value for money screen they can afford:

                  - a stronger processor
                  -Better variable refresh rate
-A dimmer display, the poco x3pro went as low as 0.9nits beating flagship oled panels

And most importantly more options for consumers :) , the oled fans can keep their snap dragon 732 120hz oled

Why? Simply why? There's already five different Redmi Note 10 models (six if you count the difference between the global and Indian Pro models), and now we're getting even more on top of a revamped Redmi Note 8? I can't see the logic anywhere!

Samsung dont have different names for different market but it also have A series that have 8 models, Also M series that also have something like 8 models. Then F, J and There flagship S class. You think that Xiaomi have more models per year then Samsung just cause they rebrand there models for different market. It can seem to be like that. For Realme i dont know much as it does not have much models that end up in Europe. Well at least in my country that have like 4 models only and they are old models B20 band for 4G for example is not on a lot of realme phones

Stock android is good or bad to whe ever as it's user preference. I dont like that i need to spend 2 times the money for just stock android or get a budget hardware for the price of a flagship hardware just for the stock android. For me 400 is very expensive for just stock android and especially when you had Poco F1 for 300 at the same time

Anonymous, 24 May 2021Still, I don't really know what you mean by perfect.Meaning they didn't have any compromises at that price. Take the nokia for example and keep in mind that it was a 2018 q1 phone. It had a very good camera setup with dual pixel and 2x tele lens (primary sensor was same as pixel and good lens too) , very good IPS display, a biggish battery for that time with 18w charging (remember, 2018), was built very well and had very good software experience. It was also ergonomically very nice to hold and felt premium. It cost around $400. At that time it was one of the most no nonsense phone.

The displays are always 6.5" or 6.7".
The batteries are always around 5000mah (plus minus). Anyway SoT is more or less the same.
Chipsets are just slightly different. I mean 5-10% differences in performance is nothing. Talking about same price categories.
What different takes on Android? Take any Xiaomi or Realme phone from 200 to 500EUR they have the same UI and the same Android experience.
The features are more or less the same nowadays. Almost all phones are coming without microsd cards.
The only thing you can say that it could be different are the cameras. But even here, only the main camera. The other cameras are copy paste from model to model.

Give me 3 or 4 models released this year that have really big differences between them, that somebody will say "Well, I am selling my 6 months old phone and I am going to pick this new released phone, because is so different". Talking about same price categories of course.
