If 6/6 Pro cost no more than $650/$750 for 8/256GB configurations they could become instant hits. Otherwise Google will continue to struggle to sell them.
Personally I'd love to see them being sold for $500/600 or even $400/500 but Google has totally forsaken their Nexus lineup and pricing model, so there's no hope left.
As for the SD card slot - barely anyone uses SD cards nowadays. This is not the feature people are looking for.
What really matters:
* Good camera, OIS, EIS (+)
* 4K video recording at 120fps (remains to be seen)
* OLED high-refresh screen (+)
* Dual SIM (unlikely)
* Stereo Speakers (remains to be seen)
* 5G (though recent polls here on GSMArena have shown people do not care about 5G)

Because it is stock feeling, yet has very many options. OxygenOs and stock android are losing right now. Even though they have longer support of updates and gets updates frequently, other skins already have those features. Therefore, you don't need to update. Update wastes time and wifi

Apple did the same thing, but at least the overall phone is better. For around £700, Oneplus 9 and Galaxy S21 is way better than Pixel 5 in all aspects.
I am willing to say that Pixel 6 will be £699 like the Pixel 5 with 1080p 120hz flat oled, 12 mp + 16 mo dual cam, plastic body, google software that is bad right now, and maybe an 778G or google sillicon with 8/128 GB.
While Pixel 6 Pro, with better display, chip, camera hardware, periscope lens, 50 mp cam, glass body. Will maybe cost £899. And that's without fast charging above 18W

Most likely 4 months until Google reveals this phone and people are already moaning about a price tag... This is one thing I dislike about GSMArena is people's mindset. You can't demand or want a high spec phone but don't want to pay that high asking price. You wouldn't enquire someone who's selling a 3 year old Porsche GT and be surprised when they're selling it for 80k and u only wanted to spend 30,000... Don't want a phone with a high asking price move onto something else i.e midrangers

I do not think google would spend much money on something expensive for Ultra wide and periscope.
Then people will bash the price. If crap x60 pro+ was near $1000 in Asia, imagine price of Pixel 6 Pro with QHD@120, stereo and IP rating.
I do not think google is gonna make phone that ends up over $1000.

if they can achieve SD870 level GPU performance , I would be impressed and happy. but i highly doubt it would be the case given Mali GPU track record.

Being that the Pixel 5 cost at launch around 700EUR, I think not even the Pixel 6 will cost 600EUR.
