Sounds good. A chip with flagship level performance and specific Google features baked in. They've reached full Apple in their control over the hardware and software stack. Now, if only they can make some decent phones.

Right now, Oneplus 9 series have one of the best main and ultrawide cameras for both photos and videos at daytime and lowlight. They are just lacking behind in selfies, portraits, and in terms of people

Something like OnePlus did with the 9 Pro (put some nice name on the camera) and there goes 900EUR+.
All in the name of marketing.
Personally, I will be curious to see how it performs in real world situations.

It's so sad to witness, the OFFICIAL Android's King, Google to play catch-up by updating its devices to be cloned to look like many other Android devices, except the ugly back, and allow its partners out do, outshine and outsell its Pixel line by huge margins.
Stadia failure, Pixel number failures, killed off useful apps/services, etc., the CEO and many other executives at Alphabet needs to be replaced fast!

Google, you basically just need to take Vivo X60 Pro Plus hardware, and then make it with your own chip and software. Samsung GN1 and high res ultrawide will be awesome with Google processing. Soon, there will be computational Videography

Iirc, Samsung did boast such a performance claim when they announced the Exynos 1080 chipset late last year. If this Whitechapel chip will be based on the Exynos 1080, that could be an interesting hot take.
