Wow, never thought I would live to see the day. That's some breakthrough tech. Apple is as heft yet quite smaller screen, plus it is LCD screen. Obviously M1 is faster, but that's a tablet, all I ask from it is 4k content and the occasional working from distance. Nothing local, so who cares...

If you would have learned how to read in school you would see "many many years" which doesn't mean forever! In ARM applications, M1 is way above anything we had ever seen, it will take YEARS for Qualcomm, Mediatek, or any other ARM company to develop something in par with M1 and WHEN they will do it, Apple is not gonna just sit there and wait, eventually they will release M1X, M2, etc. so like I said, it will take many years BUT since Apple is using the chip in ALL their devices I don't this EVER to happen, only if other ARM companies join forces together to beat Apple which will never happen.

That depends on the phone you are using. If you are using Samsung, Huawei, LG, and Motorola, they have their own Desktop Mode iteration. Samsung got DeX, Huawei got EMUI Desktop aka Easy Projection, LG got Screen+, and Motorola got Ready For. Connect any of them to an external monitor or to a TV alongside a keyboard and a mouse or even to a lapdock, and you have a desktop experience with all the needed productivity. Heck, there's even a lot of video on YouTube about Samsung DeX and LG Desktop Mode.
