I just want a different approach (and materials) to the batteries. IDK how a gaming phone with 888, 10,000mAH dual cell battery with 60W charging and loads of battery options, 2K@144Hz, ridiculously great audio, and expanded storage doesn't exist...

If you want a battery that lasts days you need a phone with really really low-end specs. Which means you won't be able to use it for anything else than calls and texts.

Anonymous, 31 May 2021Do you always carry a power bank and keep your phone in the car?I drive every day. Doesn't mean I'll put down anyone wanting hyper-fast charging or much longer-lasting-on-a-single-charge battery (like myself). I like options as much as the next guy but those people that want 10,000mAH batteries aren't dumb dumbs. Heck, if Ulefone made a sequel to the Power 5 but with Dimensity 1200, better camera, 144Hz refresh rate, and global bands, I wouldn't give it a second thought.

22W is enough for daily charge.
Btw, i have 120 W charging brick from xiaomi, and i just used it in case i forget to charge my phone while im going to work.
Just 10 minutes i prepared myself to go, the battery already filled from 15% to about 58%.
Still kinda helpful.

The way they are accomplishing this largely is bigger cells which they are spitting into multiple cells. This means that the heat generated is dissipated more plus they are putting in thermal cooling solutions. All these products are stress tested and have to pass independent tests to obtain certificates that allow them to be approved as safe.

EUcitizen, 31 May 2021I don't care about battery wear, what I care about is ... moreYou can get them but it takes almost two years and a minimum of a year busually from launch of the phone before they become available. I have replaced the battery on a redmi note 8 pro and a pocophone F1 and the battery life is great since doing it but the official OEM batteries only became available after a year. It's just the way it is.

The dumb dumbs will still be plugging in their phones every night because it takes them 3 hours to recharge their phones during the day. But what if you need to go out at night? No answer because sad people don't go out at night.
