I still find foldable screen tech will make its best usability in laptops. lenovo x1 fold tried it but,I believe samsung can do a better version. think of a 13" laptop in folded mode with touch keyboard. unfold it to transform it to a 20" display/desktop pc/tablet whatever you call it.

I just don't see anything with the Fold3 that would make me want to change from my Fold2. The under-screen camera is no big deal when you have such a sizeable screen. The chipset and ram are still more than enough to run almost everything. I'm not overly bothered by camera quality as long as its decent enough. Not an s-pen user. Maybe Fold3 will have some surprises up its sleeve.
Love my Fold2, nice compact phone when closed and a compact tablet when open. I really can't bear the thought of not having a foldable phone now.

sanshiro, 01 Jun 2021But who needs such a phone? How can I use it?
How can a bi... moreThe way I see it, foldables like these are basically a phone/tab hybrid that combines the best (or worst, it depends) of both worlds. Still mostly pocketable and used like a regular phone, though rather unwieldy; has a large screen, even if quite smaller than a full size tablet.
Who will buy them? People with deep pockets that wants the latest and most prestigious tech available, of course. This is niche stuff that's not for everyone, price isn't a forefront consideration for them.

To my honest opinion phone with zero screen durability is waste of resources and only a very clumsy people or a very rich ones which have enough to not care about money spent will buy one.

But who needs such a phone? How can I use it?
How can a bigger screen be "more" useful to me, to whom?
What is the target group here? Because it's going to be very expensive!
